Can someone point me in the right direction for some engine oil seals for. 250H, I'd like to keep a full kit on the shelf, but a gear shift seal is the one I need first

Thanks for starting this thread, I managed to get my dream vmx bike (yz250h)from it off another member , who was so helpful, and honest about the bike...so a good deal was struck,, it would of been offered for sale unless I asked,...

I will just have to make the 3 numbers as big as possible on the 79 model plates... via a sign place ( which is tiny number plate next to the 96 cr next to it in the shed)... you can't do anymore than that

If there was an issue with the era of the bike, couldn't that be address either before or after the race?

Still be a tight fit to get 3 numbers and a letter behind it on a yz250F plate

I have seen the letter (E) above the number on a few bikes with 3 numbers, as it won't fit behind it

Nathan, yes with an oval plate makes it harder, if the letter "E" needs to be 50mm high..... how high at minimum can the race numbers be?....... so I can figure out how to juggle the letter and numbers around,

I'm on it,

I like the idea of the skin for the tank, the rest of the bike has new plastics, so the tank skin will clean it up to finish it off instead of the creamy off white look the tank has now

G'day guy's,

I just got my green plates for my yz250F resto, I have my race number which is 3 numbers, Just wanting to know the minimum size of the numbers and class letter ( in this case E).... just so I know what to get and how to fit it all on the little plate  ... as I have seen some that are a bit smaller and fit on the oval plates ok, and some that over hang the perimeter of the plates

Hi Viper,

Yes, your correct, at a second look last night at a bunch of pics I could see the mount differences, being further back on the d-e models.. plus the front of the tank has longer straighter edge. plus the bottom back corner is different

I have considered a tank cover, as I have seen on a 250F, it seems spruces it up ok, and the decals stick, my concern with the older original tank is once it's had some elbow grease spent on it, the decals still my not stick, but that seems to happen on most,

Let me know what your  after for the tank,...

Yeah that was what I was considering, a bike I could ride straight from the shed to the bush or track, no trailer etc, and for me would be the close to riding a yz250
