One of the CCM theories ,in the staggered fin was to assist in preventing mud build on the engine.
Usual practice on the CCM is to leave the head finning around the exhaust intact

Yes -the risk of a crash is greater when you actually ride regularly as opposed to that of the regular polisher

No drama
The cover in the photo is the original-
There is still signs of the bog from when we used it as a patern to build it up to allow for shrinkage.
My frame is C7397 SOLD 8/09/73-wow 40 years old next month.
Chasing some engine covers for a 79 if you ever come across them.

Located cover -We did also use it for a mould and have a spare unmachined one if it helps you out.
Having dramas posting photo.
If I cant bribe one of the kids to work it out I will email photos to Alison or PM your email

My 73 CCM (frame No 97)is the yellow -Usual color for 1974 is duck egg blue for the std and White for the GP replicas
With the number or Oiginal and replicas in WA now We should look at celerating the 40 year anniversary at one of the VMXWA events this year.-Perhaps incorperated into Wandering?
May be able to push Peter to finish the 72 Stroka (frame No 21)
