I used a rotary burr on my ktm swingarm nutsert. The bolt corrodes on the inside of the Swingarm and you will never get it out.It takes time to burr it out and make sure you cut it in half towards the end so you can get the pieces out of the swingarm.I replaced them with stainless steel nutserts and lots of neverseize.

Welcome to the forum.
You can never only have one Bultaco, they seem to breed !!
I have a dual addiction of Bultacos and Huskies with a few KTMs thrown in for good measure.

Hi Dave,
Both of these numbers are not Bultaco prefixes, they didn't make that many bikes !

Closest I could get is a 247 Montesa Cota trials
Bultaco Gold medal Frontera M492(250)   M493(370)
   Bultaco Sherpa T M49

   Hows that for not helping.

Hi piney,
The owners manual says SAE 30 at 200cc per leg.

Well done, that is a very rare motor, especially if it has the gearbox. There have been TSS parts on eBay lately. There is a guy in the USA that has a big collection of TSS's,Donald McCullough is his name, try some forums for his email.I had his email but it is not current.

No.
Mk10 have a different size output shaft(bigger)and just about everything else is different.

Shortstuff,
By having the green and yellow joined you are effectively shorting the lighting supply voltage to ground/frame.Is the lighting coil darker in colour than the ignition coil. They might have burnt it out.
Connect the wires as I have suggested and see how you go.

Hi Shortstuff,
The black wire is from the points to the coil.A good idea while you are there is to remove the condenser from the points system and mount it away from the engine heat under the tank.A bracket may be needed. The main failure of the electrics will be the condenser and being under the tank makes it easy to change. The wire from the condenser is connected to the coil with the black from the points
The green wire is the earth wire and should be connected to a clean ground near the coil(coil bolt). The bike will not spark without the green connected.
The yellow is the lighting coil.If you are not using lights just run it up under the tank and tape it off.

Hi Tez,
What do you plan on doing with the bike? There is a lot if work to do without the engine if you are doing a  resto. An engine will turn up eventually.Keep looking.
