Suzuki / Re: What colour
« on: August 17, 2024, 01:40:45 pm »
Go to a car paint shop and ask for 'suzuki 35P' Its the correct colour. Its not actually silver but 'champagne gold metallic'. Places like Auto Bahn, Supercheap Auto etc have it can can mix it into spray cans or into a tin so you can spray it from a gun or you can get it from professional auto paint suppliers. Spies Hecker is one brand. I put a satin/matte clear over top of it too. Its not actually silver but 'champagne gold metallic'

I spoke to Dukey a few weeks back he is slowly restoring that VMC/KTM 540.

Nice, please post pics if you can when done. I have got an article from Aus MC news that was a feature on Dukes own custom made sidecar kit for the KTM.

Suzuki / Re: RL250 forks - are they 35mm or 1.3/8inch ?
« on: February 02, 2024, 11:38:41 pm »
They are metric '35mm' but they always measure a little under and not bang on 35.00. Ive got various NOS 36 and 38mm suzuki tubes and they measure slightly under when you measure with a micrometer.

Yeah it was just  a box of chrystals and salts LOL. Reminds me of those Answer Roosts boosts. They made big claims but all that was inside was a single 10cent resisistor (i took a few apart)

Marzocchis had bladders and pistons. You can by new freon cell shocks from Progressive suspension. They are S&W's just rebranded when Progressive took over the S&W shocks in the 80's. I have seen people buy new Progressives and paint the spring seats yellow and blue like the S&W's were.

https://www.qa1.net/ do the new gas bags but it seems the one you want is sold out everywhere (i just had a look around)

Wanted / Re: Boge Mulholland LTG parts.

You can probably get parts needed from seal suppliers Not much back then was especially made for shocks. They used seals already made for other equpment. I'd say if you really want them go ahead, theres always a soloution. Worst case scenario go to different size shaft, make a new seal head or whatever.
