Great weekend yet again at the Lakes Venue. Big thanks to Carl, Bob and Greg for all there work on the weekend to make the event enjoyable for all the members and spectators alike. Also, thanks to all those that flagged and especially the ladies that did the lap scoring.
To the Lakes Club, huge thanks for all the work they put in over the weekend ( and also pre the event) to make it such a great venue and weekend.
Great photo's Burgo, thanks for them as well.
One of the most memorable things for me on the weekend was seeing Dennis's KTM on fire ( literally ), grabbing the fire extinguisher out of the car and running over to assist with dousing the flames and then to see Dennis not lomg after line up at the starting gates on the bike. What are those things made of??

Who will be?
We shall find out on the 30th October 2011 at Barleigh Ranch near Raymond Terrace NSW.

The date is now locked in and entry details will be available soon.

I have a set of new side covers for an 83 XR350. I think that they are DC Plastics. Quality isn't to bad. I no longer have the bike, so no longer required. If you are interested, send me your email address and I will email you a couple of photo's tonight. Cheers.

Woody,
We'll be down on Friday. Leaving Newcastle around 8am, so hopefully arrive just after lunch. Spoke with Dennis yesterday and big thanks to him and his helpers for prepping the track on the weekend. Dennis says that the track is in good shape, so should be a good weekend. Looking forward to riding the full track hopefully this year. Couple of minor changes to the track with no whoop section anymore and one of the big tabletops after the old whoop section replaced with a sand section. Should be interesting. See you there. Cheers.

Only one more sleep now! Weather gods look like they are going to smile upon us for the weekend. Good number of pre entries for the event. Who's going to be burning the midnight oil on bikes tonight so that they are ready for the weekend? Turtle, you ride maico's so surely you still have some prep work to do!

Les Richters at VMX Unlimited ( Mainly Maico ) is the one to help you out. Have gotten a few sets of CR plastics ( and others ) from Les and always looked after me. Give Les a try, he usually has plenty in stock as well.

You sure know how to win friends Turtle! Are you camping on Saturday night? I heard that you had purchased a microphone of your own to use with the club PA system. Free entertainment on Saturday night, Turtle style?
How about the rest of the southern contingent Snowy, have you got them lined up for the road trip north?
