Tech Talk / MX250 Big end and filter cage

Hey Guys, just lunched my 74 MX250 (air filter was stuck up on the back where i couldn't see it and i did a race day battling with a face full of dirt) and when rebuilding it she has a 25mm crank pin and 311 rod. this is not what is in the manual or parts catalouge. i have a new rod and pin but dont have the bearing. are their any more common bearings for it? if not is the 93310-425N4 the correct bearing?
Are there any good aftermarket air filter options for these as my cage is knackered and never seals well?

Hey guys. Need some plastics for my 360b. I got a set of DC for my mx250 and they were pretty average. Are there any other good options that you can recommend. I want the white not yellow.
Also any other good places to find parts for a resto to race not show condition.

Hey guys has anyone replaced the spokes on this bike? I cant find any around on the www. HAS anyone got any info on these or is it best to got to my local Suzuki dealer and see what they can do?

General Discussion / What s the differences between MT and Cr125

Hey people, trying to finish a restore on y 1974 CR125. i have most of the major stuff but need lots of little things like, wheel axles carb boots, air box, and all sorts of fiddley stuff. I think the best way is to buy a parts bike. I have seen a few MT125's around and they are resonably well priced. are most of the interchangeable like a yamaha DT/MX? Any help would be hreat as i dont want the restor of a little 125 to cost $6K

Hey crew,
I am just trying to workout the different colours for the 1974 MX250. I have a 1974 yellow MX250 and need some new plastics for it. I was wanting to go to silver but not sure if they came out in silver in 74? any help would be great.

Tech Talk / 74 MX250 Crank Pin

Hi All, i just went to redo the bottom end on my 74 Yamaha MX250. I got the part number of the pin from a online parts catalog on boats.net, part # 214-11681-00-00 - PIN, CRANK (240) and the pin i got is a 24mm pin. the crank and pin i took out is about a 24.64 ish mm pin!!! has anyone seen this before? if so what would be the replacement part for it, i have found a forum talking about the DT1 360 having a 25mm pin!!! any held would be great.
