Yamaha / YZ125E Swingarm Bushes
« on: April 26, 2011, 06:33:47 PM »
Hi Guys
I need to sort out a sloppy swingarm on my 125E, Any suggestions regarding replacement bushes?? Are NOS available? Can something else be used?
I have heard that it can be quite a pain to get this sorted out.
Any experience with a similar task would be appreciated.

Hi Guys and girls from BMCC

Have uploaded a couple of hundred photos of the meeting at Harrisville on the weekend. Mucked up naming the albums for most of them, Just look at the All Photos option on the BMCC ning site.

Couple of them came up looking ok if I do say so myself.

Suzuki / RM250T Front Brake Hub
« on: August 30, 2010, 07:56:23 PM »
Hey Guys

First ride on my new/old RM250T on the weekend, Great to be back on board after 8 months off due to a stuffed shoulder. Bike went great, me not so good..... anyhow...

Got home adjustings some bits and pieces and 1/2 the lug that holds the front brake cable adjuster broke off!! Damm it. >:(
I recall guys bronzing a break of this type back in the day on the magnesium hub???

What would you guys suggest? Do I need to source a new plate? Are NOS available? Should I try to get someone to Braze it? Anybody got one?? Any help would be great.

Suzuki / As confusing as an alloy 125C swingarm?? Hope not
« on: November 16, 2009, 07:33:29 PM »
One relativley simple question. I know the answer would most likely be availabe on the forum somewhere however I am hoping that it may not be a confusing as the alloy RM swingarm question.

Q: Can you use (new) Ohlin shocks  with damping adjustments on the RM250T and still be ok in regard to eligibility for EVO class at the nationals? IE: Rebound and compression adjustment and piggy back

Suzuki / 1980 RM 250T questions
« on: November 14, 2009, 06:09:48 PM »
Hey Guys
Can any body tell me the original lenght of the RM 250N/T shocks?

Any body who has installed other types of shocks what lenght shock did you end up going with, have read that an extra 5mm to standard can make the bike turn a little better?? Looking at Ohlins ATM sizes in stock configuration are 360 & 380 mm.

Motor serial number is 47102 is that infact a T motor?

Thanks

Suzuki / Shocks for Rm250T??
« on: October 29, 2009, 09:05:24 PM »
Hi Guys
Just picked up a Rm250T for racing that has currently a set of IKON 7614 Series Shock Absorbers on it, think that they may be similar to a KONI shock.  Anybody have any comments... good bad or otherwise in regard to them?

Any supension gurus in QLD you can suggest that you might be able to help sort both the shocks and the forks for that matter and keep them in regulation trim for the Nats ect would be appreciated.

I am new to getting these old girls running properly again and any help/comments would be appreciated.

Regards

Scott

Yamaha / YZ125E Seat re-furb
« on: October 11, 2009, 08:56:18 PM »
Any of you QLD boys know someone relatively locally (BrisVegas) who will do a good job of replacing an originial seat foam on a YZ125E, I have NOS seat cover and the original base and original (very saggy) foam to take a copy from.

Honda / 1983 CR250D Rear brake set up
« on: August 31, 2009, 11:22:49 AM »
 Hi Guys
A mate of mine asked me if I could help with this question, I told him that I would post it on the forum for him and told him to sign up as a member as I'm sure you guys will be able to help him out with other questions as he restores his Honda.

Q: If you go to any vintage meetings can you look out for CR250RD 1983 and get some photos of rear brake area . Parts books unclear and so many different variables between 82/83??

So if anybody can help I would appreciate it.

Regards
