Expect to pay through the nose and get the run around trying to collect .Also expect that your stuff will go through customs and you may have to pay duty before you can collect .Same goes for UPS.

ohh dear, i had the same thing, they called me and i got slugged with big fees and import duties and tryed to get as much extra money out of me as they could and they did. I had no choice. Never made the mistake of having stuff sent my Fed Ex again.

that woud have been UPS.

If you use USPS and you are not at home you get a card an collect from your nearest mailcentre. Its also cheaper.

I bourght 2 x Harley badges for a mate, the price for FEDEX from US was $48.00, the stupid seller combined my home address with my work address. One call to Fed ex from me and they redirected it to the correct address. This was a typical example of price and cost - worked out for the better this time..

Its not the local bike shops that are the rip offs, its the importers. I have also found motorbike wreckers are a rip off and never have what i want. Go to ebay usa and its all there.

Hard to figure if the wreckers are ripping you off if you haven't been able to purchase something from them huh?!  ::)

No I have not Paul , just having a chuckle when people buy "new , cheap" gear from USand portaying the the locals as rip offs, and then end up paying more in the end . ;D

Not sure where this came from wasp but if it was my post about the shocks, they were second hand and covered in shit like Pauls motor. If they were new there would be no the cleaning charge just import duty.
BTW I haven't bought a pair of new shocks since I got the over on some Ohlins in 1980.

love your avatar , is it male or female ? I breed sulphurs and blacks  and handrise them( red tail magnificus , magnificus), they are a lot cheaper in Australia ;)and its such a peacefull and rewarding hobby.

Its a male, 1 of 3 we have. Great for entertainment and chewing expensive furniture.

and I have actually contacted a local importer/wholesaler regards some Thor stuff and he recommended I get it from the States because it was cheaper and would be here in 2 weeks whereas they weren't expecting stock for 3-4 months?  Go figure!
