So who's coming? The forecast for rain doesn't look too promising but rest assured the track will be groomed and watered to perfection, in preparation for a great day of classic racing. The entry's have started to roll in, and you can down load an entry from the VCM link on the Ozvmx home page. Classes for everyone, pre'70, pre '75, pre'78, evolution etc. There will also be 3 races for modern all powers if you don't have a VMX bike. Look forward to seeing you there.
Cheers,
K

Track groomed and ready for the expected dump of rain today and tomorrow which will make it premo. We will be watering from 3.00pm Saturday if anyone coming can spare an hour or so to hang on to the end of a hose. 52 pre-entrys so all is looking good for a great day of VMX fun

News flash!! Big K has landed in hospital this arvo, came off the bike and has a massive hematoma(?) on his leg. Hopes to still be there tomorrow.Hospital staff xraying to make sure its not a broken femur!
-
Thats not good news , but lets hope he is OK for tomorrow . With a bit of luck , we get a bit of rain overnight.
-
Gee MXMadness are we racing for sheep stations ??? I thought we were all a bit old for that rubbish.
-
Madness , is that true , that there is a trophy tomorrow with your name on it ?
-
how do you come to that conclusion ,plenty off practise at the track, makes you better for race day common sence .
sheep stations or not
plus you have a day to get your suspension right. tyers right. gearing ?were as some one who has to travell has limited acess to the track is behind the eight ball if he arrives on the day.
some racers are very competative and take it seriously

MX Madness
Big K got hurt testing his bike on his land, not at the track. If your racing tomorrow please come over and explain you crappy comments, see no 81
Without Big K efforts to date the event would not take place, for you information over the years Big K has done thousands of laps on the Ravenswood track
Regards, Frank

Correct, Big K was not "practicing for an unfair advantage" he was riding a bike which had just been finished off for this weekend, in his back yard when he had a 5mph crash which just landed him the wrong way. Seems like a few of you guys like to get into some body without knowing all the facts. Without k's efforts we would not be riding tomorrow at all.

No broken femur, a couple of cracked ribs and a mashed left knee but the big problem is the haematoma. I've ruptured the deep femoral vein and it's bled pretty badly. No surgery at this stage (I hope not at all), but they need to keep a close eye on it as the complications can apparantley be disastrous. It looks like I won't be able to ride for the next 3-6 months, I hope they are wrong. Not much pain at the moment thanks to the morphine. I will get a photo up when I get out, you won't believe the size of this thing. It looks like I've shoved a football under the skin on my thigh. I got the nice nurses and my wife to take some happy snaps. Thank god or whoever that I decided to take the trip to the hospital, there was a while there I thought I'd be able to tough it out and ride tomorrow. The dry conditions caused the 430 to bitch slap me straight into side of a jump in my back yard. I can't believe the damage such a low speed crash has caused. Just a freak accident I guess. I'm pushing hard for them to let me out tomorrow so I can at least get a look at the days racing. Depends on whether they can find the pulse in my left foot which is conspicuous by its absence at the moment. I really don't like being here.
Cheers,
K

G'day K Man
sorry to hear about this, i wish you well for a quick recovery mate.
best wishes

Thanks all for the kind thoughts. The news is of good, as the pulse is back in my foot and the swelling hasn't increaesd, although my left leg is almost black. I can hobble around and will probably need crutches for a while. They say it could take 6 months or more for the clot ot be re-absorbed. I've done some fast talking (whinging), and I hope to be out by lunchtime today. I might make it to the track for presentation.
Cheers,
K

Big K,
Bugger >:( All the best from the Baker Maico Team, a most unfortunate injury, take care & we wish you a speedy recovery. Hope the day went well today in your absence, I'm sure that all were there supporting you, regardless. MX Madness, please explain, as obviously not a lot of forward thought went into your post. :-\

Did you make it BigK? hope you did ;) Listen carefully about the dangers of that Haematoma friend please.
I was on my way to Ravo when the ******* mobile rang with the message my daughter was on way to hospital with bad "asthma". So detour for me and Kathy to Swan hill. Found her pretty much ok when we got there with a good dose of ...food poisoning... poor breathing was due to to much 3D yawning..... See you at Broadford maybe next week ? but only on a four wheeler..... ;) Cheers Tim

Hi Guys, the Wasp has a 1978 Suzuki GS1000 motor in it, which we think has been there from Day 1. Not sure who's it was originally, but we've narrowed it down to three possibles. I bought it as is (immaculate) from Qld.
Sent you a PM.
Cheers
