Didn't know Ducati ever made a 2T??? Maybe it's a rebadged Aermacchi engine the cylinder and head looks like one.

I saw one when I was a kid. Made an impression simply because it was a Duke.

Ducati actually made a few enduro style bikes (possibly rebadged ),even a six day version.

I thought it was a Morbidelli engine or or something similar but I've been told by the bloke who bought the little Ducati that the engine is actually made by Ducati.

Ducati 125 Regolarita . Think well reasonably certain they started in 1969 and that the engines were out sourced from Aermacchi.
Ahh finding the old info. the pictured model is a 1975 one ,single side stand and thicker higher padded seat.. Now engine....
FANTIC 125... same thing ?????

Oh I wasn't making a stetment Jim, just wondering whether Firko meant a Minerelli motor. I've not heard of Morbidelli making motors other than road racing motors or that very exclusive V8.

Actually Tim you caught me out, having a pensioner moment when the old brain goes flatline  ::). I did indeed mean Minarelli.

Its Tim time  ;D Tim Fantic used Minarelli  and so did Aspes  I've spelt that one wrong I think? Ducati didn't  :-\  jimson

So did Cotton. Using those particular motors was their death knell.

Jim, yeah, the early Fantic trials bikes (Trial 200, actually a 156cc) used a Minerelli. And a very good bike it was too. Thereafter Fantic produced their own motors.

Laverda also dabled in the 2stroke trailbike market in mid 70's w a Husky-engined 125, & a 250 w fully enclosed chain & adjustabe rake. If my scanner worked I'd post a couple of pics. Don't think they lasted long tho.

Thats them. Thanks Roger.

Can't see it in those pics on the 250 but it had adjustable rake via pivot & plates on the steering head w several holes. Aligning diff holes gave diff rake.
