Any ideas where to buy a crank case splitter in Australia, have seen a few on eBay but all in USA. I'm sure they are plenty of places to buy in OZ but where? Your help is needed????

no outer skills for pics as borne in 1959 but will describe best I can. 1st buy a foot long piece of 30mm thick wall square tubing (oblong shape will work as well),while it out buy a length of 1/2 inch all thread and 3 nuts to suit.now chrome find centre of the tubing and drill a clearance hole through the tubing,if u have a welder weld a nut on the tubing if not use the nut on the under side of the tubing.now exit 10 inches of true all thread sand grind a point on 1 end of it,now lock the 2nuts together on others end of the all thread. now measure the centre's of the jacking threaded holes of it cases and drill those holes in the tubing and ur done

I must have a Chinese one as the instructions on it read. You %^$#@ing %$^&%ard get the ^%&* off. Works a treat

Whoops ! I just take out all the case bolts and hit the crank, cases split nicely, then flip the the crank around and tap out from the other side......is that wrong?

Hi Craig
I bought mine from this mob http://www.motoxparts.co.nz/category/tools-motorbike/crankcase-splitter-tool
From my research def the best value for money and worked a treat :)

Not a bad price at all, under $100nz delivered to you in Australia.
I've bought a few things off them now, this is where I buy my CZ chain from & being in NZ it normally arrives within 2 days of ordering :)

Equally, if not more important, is a tool to draw the cases back together. These are not readily available as a generic tool as they need to accommodate both main shaft diameters and threads, I've just made mine up as I need them. If you really want that perfectly trued crank to stay that way, they are a must.

I got mine from Motoxparts in New Zealand as well. Used it yesterday and it works a treat. Cant remember what it cost, but I don't think it was that much.
