the rivers cant be crossed in the reverse direction...Drakie proved that the year before ;D
he can't recognise having been on a good thing with the mighty Bimmer.
Stay tuned.
Geez dont hold back ::) He has to make it to beaufort yet :-X for practise ;D
Stay tuned.
Sounds like good advice, what jets do you recommend?
Are you starting to appreciate just how good you had it with your sponsored Factory European Ride? Did you think that the colour of the green thingy matched the greener grass over the fence? ::)
Can't believe you would want to desert the all conquering euro team for the for the losing rice burners.
Well, if you can't take the advice re; tuning, then perhaps coming back to the Bimmer will get you mobile again!
It seems that this year the riders of the Asian leaf blowers have underhandedly lobbied some members of the VERi committee to try and turn back the clock on last years result by having the Harrow course RUN IN THE REVERSE DIRECTION this year!

All accommodation for for Vinduro Penrite Team is sorted! Part way stops organised, and something a bit closer than Natimuk for Friday and Saturday night!
Don't sit at home and miss Harrow . Get this on the Bucket List ....for 2015
What's the 'show and shine feature'
The mailout for Harrow entries happened at 10:44 last night. My entry and payment submitted 06:45 this morning. I will be there Saturday for a look, previous engagement Sunday rules me out from entering...and pre '85 only, does that mean I couldn't enter with my slightly later drum brake DT175?There are some "model continuation" exceptions to the '85 rule.

Last year with checking the bikes even the one's with full rego , will that happen again with full regoed bikes ?
thanks, I knew it was on VERI list, but wasn't sure if there may have been different criteria for the Harrow event, my bike is 1990, and is identical to my sons '85 and '86 models except for stickers, and mine has side stand kill switch
I haven't seen a 'mail-out' as yet. Did I miss something?
I have a non Japanese bike (I'm too ashamed to say what it is), and I am worried about taking this fragile hand grenade to Harrow. Do you think I should bring it?

You're a good bloke Curtis - we'll be able to follow the trail of parts and smoke and not have to look for the arrows! And then after that first 100 metres we'll be past you and all warmed up and can start riding properly. ;D

102 entrants
Approx. %75 of those are European bikes

But don't forget most blokes that Ride Euro bikes have to bring 2 or 3 to get through the weekend .

Perhaps I should re word my post.
102 riders have registered and entered to date. Of the 102 entered riders approx. %75 of those riders have indicated that they are riding a European machine.
Sumbody must have been japanese
Of the 110 entered riders approx. %75 of those riders have indicated that they are riding or wish they could ride a European machine

Sorry, what I think you meant to say was; of all the riders entered on European machines 75% of them wish they were riding a 110 (CT110).

3 more sleeps for us until we head down to Harrow for the week prior to the event to arrow the course etc.
Get that rear tail light working there Dennis , you will need that for the UVP and so the Husky riders can see you when they fly past.

Yep, the stop light needs to be working.
I thought all the euro bikes would intentionally leave entries until late, so the weather is a little warmer to help them start in one minute on Sunday? :P
The widdle fellas a prone to be startled by loud noises , a little pressure , a bit of distance , a cold start , a bit of water , a steep metal bridge , dark places , wet weather , Honda reliability ("for you Marko" big buddy) and generally anything green or yellow. So if you see some be very quite and don't make eye contact.

You guys going the long way round :o ;DWe've got a drop-off at Broadford and a pick-up at Ballarat. I don't think there is a shorter way with those constraints. ;)
Tex I wouldn't trust the words from the primo euro riders mouth
apparently 2 sizes bigger on the main jet was no where near enough to support the mods I made :oJust put a bolt in it ,I know a bloke who did that the bike went for while

Any chance you can post up the article (or a link to it) Tex?
I tried to find it, but had no luck :(
Thanks for the footage cr750 but a kdx 200 always finds traction ::) :P
Vinduro Penrite Team have edited some footage from Day-1, Saturday. You might see yourself in an awkward situation, or you just might see ME in an awkward situation. Yes, there are blatant plugs for our team sponsor, but you have to admit, the fun is in reliving those gnarly sections!
The footage and editing is not "broadcast quality", but it ain't me day job!
You were lucky at the 21:30 point - that bit of fence was badly placed! There was a "W" board before it. It is visible on the fence post on the left. I just got too focused on getting some air and completely forgot to respect the course markings!
Great footage noticed there had been a few people following track's instead of arrowsThere were a few who took the "easy" paths. In general, I like to ride the intended course. When (?) I get a gold medal, I will have earned it!
Pretty sure the Euro's would have won but as you know I am not biased!

Yes there was more Japanese bike entered at harrow than Euro Bikes .
But More % of Euro Bike Made it Home than the Japanese Bikes ..
So Euro Bike Won Again
Sorry to disappoint you folks, but after careful consideration, the VERi committee is pleased to announce (well some of us are) that the victors in 2015 are in fact the riders of the rising sun. Yes, Japanese bikes have taken the prize this year.

After an extraordinary meeting where careful and considered discussions were robustly entertained engaging such debating tactics as....... chinese burns,
Next year a more responsible and less conniving committee member will be sourcing near indestructible scoring tags which will eliminate this scurrelous loophole.
Looking at the footage didnt see any euro bikes stuck how could that be the right result?
CR750 thanks for some great natural footage if you put them all together and make a Video I'll have 2 copy's
Please....

Much better editing than mine! Well done, Bram Day!!!
VERi almost had to have a new new committee elected over this issue. After an extraordinary meeting where careful and considered discussions were robustly entertained, engaging such debating tactics as headlocks, name calling and chinese burns, the Euro supporters finally declaring that they didn't care that the Orientals were still smarting (is that an oxymoron in this case?) from their defeat last year but they were above it all anyway, so to stop all the high pitched whining stated VERi should 'just give it to the Asians this year as a GIFT!
Thanks for picking up the cards for us Tex
