Never has been and never will be.. another storm in a teacup created by tossers that carried on long enough to deter people from racing National Titles..

Most likely dont race at the Nats

Negativity from people who aren't here is more than a bit amusing.
And sad.
Mostly sad.

Seemed to be no eligibility issues with Evo bikes.
People were pinged for no front sprocket covers.
The pre 85 (and later) CR500's that I looked at had the PWK carbies fitted.

Pre 1990 250 had the biggest field, and the fastest times.
Craig Rutherfords best lap in one of the races was about 4 seconds quicker than Brad's fastest.

Brad was - once again - the one to take home the most silverware.
The Pre-90 250 class was just insanely fast. I was comfortably running around 75% of the way through the field in the same class last year - this year, with a better bike, on a track I was more comfortable with, and pushing harder, I was battling for second last...
Great event, that deserved a much better competitor attendance.
I was a bit apprehensive about the track before the event, but it was fantastic. Every official I had anything to do with, was friendly and helpful. They responded perfectly to the watering issues on Saturday arvo.
Really, the event just needed the missing two thirds of the competitors.

There were no eligibility issues with any bikes other than some sprocket covers, loose nuts and bolts etc which were all sorted out. All of the officials did a fantastic job of making sure that every bike got to thestart line and were even spotted helping guys fixing any issues.
I do think that some of the Evo kuffufles that have been doing the rounds here and elsewhere over the last year or so have hurt the Evo entry numbers, which is a shame really because I personally think that Evo should be the showcase class for the Post Classic side of VMX. In saying that, there were some very well prepared and like new Evo bikes that did a great job of shifting some Ravenswood berms and making the vintage friendly jumps look spectacular. BVB 090 comes to mind. Those Maicos of his sure do sound a treat.

My ice cream container was sacrificed to get three bikes through scruiteneering, Lots of tape borrowing going on to make letters for number plates as well ;)
It was a great weekend, Thanks to BMCC & all helpers :)

Good times, any day on a motocross track is way better than a day in the garden. I made it through unscathed although I did have a bit of a lie down in my best race thanks to Andy M losing some drive & me running right up his clacker putting me on the ground watching him ride off. Thanks to all for not kicking me as thy went past laughing.
Seriously though, BMCC did an excellent job for the whole weekend. It was exactly as planned other than the unusually low entrant numbers. Loads of fun on an awesome track, very laid back, no stress attitude by everyone involved. Props all round.

Helping at this event was an absolute pleasure. No argy bargy, no agro, just all good fun with smiles and bench racing everywhere you went.
There really wasn't any hold ups with scrutineering either. Many an ice cream lid or food container lid were sacrificed to make the start line. No one whinged, we all just accepted it needed to be done. I even had a friendly official put one on for a bike I loaned to a mate to ride. They even had a thick black texta to use for making a letter E on the number plates of my bike.
An incredible effort was put in by all the Bendigo MCC committee members to make the entire event as good as it could possibly be.
The only whinge I have...... I should of ridden instead of lending a perfectly good 4 stroke to a mate who ended up not riding it.....
