Jim the RT1 is basically ready to go, I just put the old daggy exhaust back on. I dont know what Yamaha it's off 'cos it doesn't fit the original brackets, but it seems to get of the mark better than the other one, (I like going for the hole shot)! The air cleaner situation using a bigger pod should work, the last one, due to coil ignition, had the end blown out 'cos I pulled it back on compression with the ignition on. BLAM! I just noticed oil dripping out of a fork leg needing attention.
It may end up ready before the slider. Cheers.

My project started and nearly ready for the TBC, can't wait. Engine built to AMA Masters vintage rules, the fast bits to fly with Colleen an I to the US in February. Will fit to our Knight over there to race in the first 3 rounds of the AMA Vintage Nats, in Georgia and Florida.

Thanks to Dave Gras for that starter, that bike is nearly impossible to start with the kickstarter. simple as with that electric starter.
Best investment ever.

Looks terrific Pete. Front brakes to make Aussie officials happy I suppose?
I agree with Pancho about the starter. Did Grassy make it ? I've been looking at making one
myself.     regards  Mark.
ps. Best of luck in the U.S. You will have to keep us updated. Cheers.

What starter is used? I have a couple of starter motors laying 'round but obviously I need to get one without an outrigger bearing.

pancho.

Great work Jim. I really like the Triumph. Love to hear it. Nice color as well.
Pity that our regs. require front brakes on framers. Be good to see both bikes
with spools on the front. Keep up the good work mate.

Even though I'm not DT rider, I dig your Trumpy Jim. That thing looks like something I'd like to throw a leg over. Can I ask what swing arm you have on it?
