Title: Malaysian Grand Prix
Post by: jerry on March 24, 2013, 09:22:46 pm
Good to see Webber s comment on the podium regarding Vettel being a protected species. A non to subtle crack at Dr Markova. Well done Mark. J

I hope Vettel contracts a fatal case of jock itch.  He's a maggot.

The team had an agreement but Vettel reckons he's bigger than the team.

Yeah there's definitely an Austrian/German alliance at work there. Think they would have learned after last time (think about it!) J

Vettel is no a team player, I feel that each team should only run one car, webber should be on his own.

He's mid twenty and 3 times world champ AND German....he thinks he's unbeatable.
They should suspend him for 1 drive/race and put him in his place.
Next time he's down here we should throw tomatoes at him...that's what they ( the German fans) would do to Webber if he did the same thing.

Webber gave Vettel the royal salute on the warm down lap.

I'm not a fan of team orders as this seems like a shallow victory if the result is pre-determined and I'm sure this is how Lewis was feeling standing on the podium. But rules are rules and if Vettel has disobeyed orders then he should be punished. I can remember Bathurst 77 with the Ford 1-2 finish. Bond was leading but was told to let Moffat through. I guess having your #1 driver beaten by the #2 driver was not good for Fords image.
Mark will get his revenge for sure on Vettel...."what goes around, comes around".

Difficult when you have Dr Helmut Marko Red Bull's representitive in the pit box. The good Dr has already told everyone he thinks the sun shines out Vettels arse, I doubt he would threaten to withdraw the sponsorship if Vettel was punished  ;)

Well I say good on him. You still need the backing to get the results, why I say that, my nephew is racing formula ford this year, I got him one sponsorship, but his fathers putting up the rest, and business
won`t support. its very expensive to race cars here in Australia, but I do hope he does well.

Even using correct comma placement!! Take a bow!  ;D Ahhhh im really not that fussed, i can read broken english pretty well. But i do think that when people take criticism on board and make a conceited effort to do something about it, that its only fair to acknowledge their achievements as much as their short falls!  :)

The race cars you take a motorcycle road race budget and add a zero on the end. Best thing you can do for him is send him to a media school and learn impecable PR skills(preferably the one Craig Lowndes went to) then get him to the Formula Ford Festival in the UK. Movers and shakers take note of a good result from that both here and in the UK. FF is a real drivers class and unfortuanately Jake will probably have to 'unlearn' his driving skills after it but it rewards good set up and racecraft(which he must have to win titles). Aligning himself with some sort of a sports management company will for a fee take care of finding sponsors. Which is a full time job in itself(or talk to Dean Fiore  ;D and spend lots of time on golf courses) and will become a drag getting constant rejection. Be keeping a eye out for Jake in the future wish him good luck.

Thanks for that Lozza, Jake won his titles at high level Kart racing, I will talk with jake and his Dad, at Winton he had problems with the car, but managed 8th out of 20 plus cars, which I thought wasn`t a bad effort for his first time out. I will put a photo of the car up.

Or teach him to speak with a German accent, be as rude as fck and treat everyone like shit-works for Vettel-the germ.

Give me a break Wasp ( only joking) I come here to retreat from the World of Education. (Too stressed out after last week's grilling by the media branch and Courier Mail over NAPLAN withdrawal percentages which confused my school's results with the local High School, just love MySchool!) My Literacy gurus tell me Language is a fluid medium and hence my old mate David's language may become the norm in the future, although I feel that it may be after I depart this mortal coil.

I agree that the spoken version has and always will be "fluid",  however the written version  must always remain with-in the bounds of originality, as is math , or it will become lost in a mire of mixed up sounds.
Remember that the Dutch language is reaslly only a dialect of German, much the same as Scotish is of English, however the Dutch now write their language as they speak it and luckerly the Scotts do not  :D :D
Now I am having too much trouble finding punctuation on this new tablet and it wont be long before I lose all idea of how a sentence is structured-much like many of my fellow forum members.

While the spoken language changes at pace, the written language does also change. States within Australia (which bloody annoys me) has different expectations as to what is acceptable. The spelling of colour and color. Also indentation in paragraphing is now obsolete (much the same as my riding ability). Qld for a while, changed direction and instigated language mode and medium rather than nouns, verbs and adjectives and only recently advised it would return to these as the National Curriculum ( that now has State by State interpretations) has its emphasis in these. Schools now teach to Australian English ( which probably isn't too bad an idea if you listen to the poms on many a tv program). After 35 years in teaching I prefer to spend my non work hours in much more interesting pursuits, so I'm off to the shed to build a rear brake-stay for the godden.

Nice little FFord, Dave.  It looks like a Spectrum maybe?  Is he running state or national level?

For what it is worth, the old Sprite is coming along slowly but nicely.  Aiming for completion by SpriteBBB 2014...

Godden long tracker being turned back into short circuit setup, pain in the arse to setup really and probably won't be used too much at all, but still more fun than work. Now EML if you can just find me a cheap wasp or speedway sidecar I reveal the secrets of past participles or the apostrophe of contraction or possession mysteries.

Isn't a past participle something that fell off your bike on the race track?
