I may need some parts picked up and looked after till I can sort transport to brisbane
-
More ferrets huh?
-
Yep ten minutes from there can pick up and store.(No ferrets though)
-
Seriously.....is Manifold Heights really the name of a town? That's caused my first genuine laugh of the day ;D
-
Suburb of Geelong. Never seemed funny until you pointed it out. I grew up around it.

Thanks mate, no ferrets, a set of wheels for the actual 'Mainline' . I still have to check offsets to see if they'll fit though.
-
Holy Crap, are you going to do some work on the old girl :o :o :o ::)
-
Yep, cleaned up the shed a bit and got re-inspired. Always a big mistake to start using a car project as a storage facility
-
I'll be permanently back in Brissie soon. Happy to give you a hand. It already looks cool 8) 8) 8) 8)
Have you run out of bike projects ? I can give you some of mine ;D ;D
-
no worries let me know, if, when and where.

There you go Mark, your second laugh for the day. A guy that can't finish a job offers to help a guy who can't start one....hahahaha
-
Screw you Ted ;D ;D

Show us some pics of your ute mate, i'd love to see it no matter how good or bad she is. My father is big in the cusso club here in vic, he's got a white 55 and blue over white 58 star.

Here's a pic from a while back, althought it hasn't changed much since. I bought it as a $400 wreck and replaced the sills and floors, rebuilt the chassis, added front disc brakes etc. Then decided to customise it 50's style. Chopped the roof 2+ inches to suit a hardtop windscreen, added pontiac tailights, scoops to the sides, and deleted the door handles (so basically did nothing as Ted says ::) )

Then the young fella was born, so I bought an FX ute so I'd have something interesting to drive while I worked on the Mainline, which meant I spent too much time tweaking the FX instead.

Then got into VMX and restored a couple of bikes. So basically it's been about 6 years since I've done anything to it.

Love the roof chop mate, at least you've got something done!!! Ya just cant rush perfection ;) Little fx looks super cool too, i'd proudly load up my steeds in the back of that any day. 8) Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Brendan

You have done a wonderful job of restoring it Paul. Looks just like a Mt Druitt Maloo. Congrats

Should have bought one already done? Or payed someone else to do it for me?
-
Ignore the naysayers Paul. I reckon the Mainline's a great project, the chop top looks in proportion, not like a lot of the chopped Mercs you see. Will you need it to be signed off by an engineer in Queensland? How strict are they up there? It's getting harder down here, it's even a drama to put a red motor in an FJ these days.
-
Carby crescent thats just up from the piston broke wine bar isnt it. ;D
Nice pic's of the fleet by the way.

Ignore Mark's naysayer comment.
I will continue trading Euro ferrets for True Grit re- runs with ya
Dont lose heart with the Maloo. Once Tony comes on board it will be up and running in no time :o
I can just see you two cruising Cavill Ave now. ;D ;D. " East coast girls are hip, I really dig those styles they wear "
-
Have to get me a David Lee Roth Wig. I'm a bit hair challenged these days ::).
Gotta do something to keep up with Mainline and his fancy hairstyle ;D ;D ;D
-
Remember Tony, ....Grass doesn`t grow on a busy street
That explains why Paul is covered from head to toe with fur
-
The chicks really love him though ... He's like a better looking version of Fabio ;)

Have you two hair fetishists nearly finished?
