I think the time might be getting close for Chad to try racing VMX. He talks about not being too serious, just going out and racing and having fun!

February #28 White covered Transmoto Mag also has a good article "Who is Australia's next Chad Reed"
Though its been discussed before on here ,the common conclusion was the Kiwi's will deliver before us. :)

Not sure if you guys check vital but here is a link from anaheim of 25 bikes

In that case then we will probably all be long dead ::) Talent pool over here is about as deep as a politians promises ;)
We got a girl who goes well but soon as she hits seniors game over exept for girls racing .
With all due respect to Daryll king heres a bloke in his mid 40s still kicking our so called up and coming talents arses ::)
To much Bullshit , hype and access to mummy and daddys gold card and no work ethic or driven passion is the problem .
Theres a young bloke mid 20s from the south island Justin McDonald who could have possibly made it had he had got the breaks, what he lacks in natural talent he more than makes up for with hard work and he is driven . He is a builder and as well as managing his racing here , Aussie and in the US he has built his own succsessfull construction company .
But alas Justin is indeed a rare find these days , for the majority its all about lifestyle , Hiaces with a stereo bigger than the one at the Hammersmith palace when i was their age and excuses.
Go to a junior meeting these days , a kid wins a heat at a local club day and his old mans on the blower to CNN and writing the script for the kids victoy speech at Anaheim 1 2020 .Naturally he kid believes all the hype and thinks thats it, all i gotta do now is wait to be given above said accessories and for the factory offers to roll in .
No wonder its FUCT ::) ::) ::) ::)
-
Did you get out bed the wrong side today Bill?

What about the Ben Townley gene pool 8)

Sorry Bill but that's been happening since the Seventies...... :-X

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D no Steve quite the opposite :) Alison rattled my cage with her post , i wont go over it again but it is somthing that frustrates the shit out of me >:( I was privellaged to follow very closely Josh Coppins , Chad Reed and Ben Townleys careers from an early age . While 2 of the 3 were blessed with a lot of natural talent all 3 worked their arses off to reach their goals . I might be a moaning old womans organ but i have been around this sport a long time like most of you and would love to see the next JC, CR or BT come from this side of the world and if we do in the next 10 yrs pass the salt ill eat my own shorts :)
Back to Anaheim 1
1st RV
2nd RD
3rd CR
If Chad stays healthy he will finish top 3 for the season :)
The sunburnt irishman from florida nowhere again ;)
-

I think Chads , Joshs and Bens kids are all under school age :) if any of them takes up the sport then with their pedigree then im sure they will go far :) but get real thats 10 /15 yrs away ;)
-
I think barcia will win on race fitness. Villopoto second as I think he's the fastest guy on that side of the world anyway. Dungey third. Chad fourth. Stewart will not finish ;D
-
Anyone know who is streaming the race and at what time here?
-
I'm hoping to go tomorrow night if I can get it organised ... our last US outing before returning home next week ;D
-
Stewart If he can win a few in row is un-stopable but I also doubt he can put a season together. I f Reedy can be healthy and a few younger guys drop off who knows?
Never forget that anyone that The MAN looks after has an edge.
-
I think RV, JS, CR & RD.
RD seems to be the best of the rest and is consistant.
The MAN above?

Yep, Barcia is my pick too. I have liked him since he filled in for some outdoor races last year on a 450. He has the speed and he has the X factor. His ride to win the MEC in Vegas was impressive.

Dungey
Villipoto

Anyone but Stewart
Bubbas World has permanently scared me and can never again take him seriously I'm afraid
-
Well this doesn't look like SX to me... it's 2PM and ESPN are playing Sports Centre?? :-[
-
I am on ESPN2 and it is showing NFL. Information bar says it is Supercross and online tv guide says it should be SX as well. Begining to sulk now
Ed
-
forking foxtel...they've cut the movie channels as well.
Robbing useless pricks
-
Posted links are not working.
-
Foxtel have done this so many times to the SX broadcasts in the past.... I want my $120 back ya pricks!! :-\
-
Foxtel,
Arseholes, pricks, SOB's, deadshits, and many more I'd care to use.
Talked it up all week and we get useless American football garbage that know one in Australia gives a shit about. Organised my day around this programming, not happy at all, and when the missus gets home and realises that all the fugg'n around for me to get out of the day events to watch the show that's not on will send her off he deep end.

Man that first 450 heat race was a cracker!
Did you get an online link to work?
-
A nice controlled ride from Milsaps in heat 2. Bubba faded quicker than I thought he would.
-
I couldn't get online to work...
-
Man, what a race!!!! i wont spoil it for those who couldnt get the link working , safe to say though the usual first race suprises, and the main event was a cracker.
-
great link and a great finish
-
The Justin TV link worked, just had to select 'sport' again and select AMA Supercross.
Interesting race, the winner was hot all night.
-
Good thing I didn't bet the house on the result!
But a shakeup is good....it should be a great season.
-
Who'd have thought Milsaps had that in him? that last lap pass on Canard was a ripper. This might be the start of a new guard
-
Firko, I wouldn't back him for the series win but he is rding well (Milsaps) and looking the fittest I have ever seen him look.
Looking like a top series!!
-
Davi looked great all day - right from first practice. Was good to see him and Trey battling it out the entire main event as both guys are very lucky to be alive, no matter racing.
Dungey looked solid enough and the punkin no longer looks like it is holding him back. RV looked hesitant all day apparently and showed that just like Stewart he is prone to panicking. Talking about Stewy - I am told his knee injury occurred during the track walk - unconfirmed, but from a great source). Barcia looked pretty solid too, but I am picking Dungey for the series unless he has an injury.
Had a couple other sources for online viewing and will put a link up for the next event.

I thought Milsaps was showing his potential last year, lets not forget that he finished second. He seems to be fitter and so smooth this year so even though I won't be backing him yet, I think both he and Trey Canard have the right stuff to shake up the usual suspects. Justin Barcia looked good too but got sloppy and crashed out, he might be worth watching. Dear old Chad showed that just hanging in there and staying out of trouble will bring home the points, as Milsaps did last year. Don't count out Bubba, Dungey and Villipoto yet, it's a long season.

Thanks for whackin that on Bill, Good example of ( Never Give Up ) ey 8)

What is it with Canard. He prob has his own mechanic but thanking his OWN GOD...WTF
Tosser
-
What about the commentator jumping on the bandwagon " Canard , one of the best at keeping the bike low by scrubbing "
Millsap passed him with a classic 70's cross up. Who needs a scrub
-

I wonder if he thanked his god when he broke his leg for the second time?
-
Got the youtube footage, what a great race
-
Cracker of an opening rd.....though how many foam advert blocks do they need on the track !! :-\

Well in someway he did, in his Bio he said it is the lords way of getting him to where he is today?? Go figure?
View the like below on UTube, But all in all he is a down to earth guy who wants nothing more than to ride.

These born again christian sports people/actors/polititians make me nauseus. I can't wait for the day when one of these dweebs thanks Satan and their drug dealer 'Southside Larry' for their win. Believe whatever you want to believe but don't turn every trophy presentation into a praise the lord lovefest.
-
While religion of any sort is top of my hate list >:( i feel for these poor buggers like Canard who get up there ansd speil off all that shit . The poor Bastard has had the worlds oldest fairytale drummed into him from birth he probably believes every word of it . The manipulative religous scum will be on his case at every oppurtunity to make sure he uses his position at the top of his chosen field to preach the fairy tale to all he can .
If thats what butters his cracker then so be it as long as he lives the part ;)
What really shits me (and in NZ i see sooooooooooooooooooooooo much of it ) is the plastic christians ::) They go to church on sundays and talk it up about how holyier than thogh they are then break every one of their precious commandments during the week but its all ok as long as they go to church on sundays with all the other fakes ::)
Each to their own , but if your gonna preach it then FFS live it ;)
We really should register VMX as a church ;) imagine the tax breaks :) and we already do it on sundays ;D
-
All this thank the lord stuff on the podium has come about since 9/11. There was barely a mention of it before, you never heard McGrath, Emig, Stanton, Johnson etc go on with such crap..

Look again Oman , Johnson said it all the time .It started partway through his career.

I think its fine for someone to thank the good man above, and if that's what makes him fast in his mind then that’s good too.
He raced really well and deserved to thank his sponsors for their support, even if it was just the man above.
The scientists (not the 80's band from WA) have been busy explaining the universe, with a couple of good documentaries lately - Grand design by Prof Stephen Hawking with string theory, M theory and the second is Wonders of the Universe by Prof. Brian Cox (amazing!) - both are great TV docos (I'm sure there are books for those that can read) that unravel life the universe and everything.
In the mean time who is going to win round 2?
-
One of the things that I really abhor is the way religions brainwash people.
Seriously guys - Religion is the worlds first and greatest con and has over the years been the cause of more harm an suffering than anything else in the history of humans on this planet. No matter how you cut it, religion was devised to help control the population and once it was found that churches could actually make money it got a lot worse.
My dad was brought up a strict catholic but when he went away to fight in the pacific during WWII he started to question. He definitely lost all religion over that stage, but spent a lot of time over the years reading different bibles and trying to understand the various religions. His thoughts on them have certainly formed my distrust and dislike of all religion, but I am happy to let someone believe if that is what floats their boat.
What I am not happy with is the way religions are given tax free status and all sorts of other dispensations - they are businesses and should be treated as such. I read or hear often about various preachers railing about the welfare systems and how they do not support the poor ...... sheesh, if these religions stopped draining the money from those people who can least afford it, maybe they would not be needing welfare support.
And when it comes to the worst religions in my mind I see Catholicism and Muslim being at the top of the list ..... saying a few hail marys on Sunday does not absolve one for their previous 6 days of screwing people out of their hard earned money - and NO religion should incite their followers to inflict violence on others.
-
Geez - you guys had better hope that what they are preaching is not correct ;D

Yes the Hitch Hikers Guide To the Galaxy but to save you reading the book the answer was 42!

No Rossco of course not :) hell the world knows theres no being superior to TM Bill ;) Problem is how these dog bothering clowns prey on the weak and insecure, making them beleive that if they dont tow the line and hand over a substantial part of their income they will be answerable to some fantasy mumbo jumbo voodoo being ::) ::)

Bill, I feel ya pain mate.
Back in the mid 80's I had a friend/flatmate who went all born again. (and yes, he was a kiwi)
I could put up with it all until he went on a 2 week "Mission" to one of the South Pacific Islands - then the day he got back to Oz, he sat on the couch, rubbed his balls and proclaimed "God I'm Horny.."
Effin Hypocrite...
>:(

-

Yes he has the best 'form' at the moment but my dark horse is still Barcia
-
Nah, Alessi will holeshot and run away with it ;-)
-
I think Milsaps has shown us that he's got the talent, this could quite easily be his year if he keeps riding like he did at Aneheim.
-
In the mean time who is going to win round 2?
RV will be back on form and will take the win :)
He is still my pick but with the form of Canard, Barcia, Dungey and possibly Millsaps he'll have to make sure he does everything right. I don't think Millsaps will be a threat for the title, he's never been able to put it all together and there are a lot of younger hungrier guys on the track.
-
Both titles to Dungey ...... The Great Punkin might even get a couple 250F titles as well.
-
My picks were crap as always, but at least the mighty Suzuki was victorious !!
Here's some cool footage via Millsaps go pro

reed started slow last year, VP will come right, interesting times
-
Allesi will never win a main, Vilopoto has it to loose as he has more pace then anyone & Chad will get stronger & challenge without doubt, Stewart is Stewart & Dungey is mr consistant. Barcia not yet but coming !!!
& TM Bill ur earlier comments re juniors & Parents = SPOT ON .........
-
I don't think Fox are showing it though
-
I don't think Fox are showing it though
Its not a very consitant channel of AMA news or other bike events that people seem to fork money out for.
Up to second results and trackside racing is done else where via intenet nowdays.
Time Foxtel got it together and gave the subscribers what they are paying for.
cheers A
-
Too right. They get $ 160 a month out of me and prob another $ 50 in phone calls. F...ing hopeless
