Title: Radiator flush
Post by: evo550 on April 25, 2012, 02:36:36 pm
I have a set of CR radiators that are totally clogged with a white lumpy powder, a byproduct of Magnesium rott I think.
Anyone else had this problem, if so, what's the best way to flush it clean ?

i used to get mine done by Bikerads locally to me, drove past a while ago and looks like they have either closed or moved. they did a great job and i reckon you are right about the mag corrosion.

what model do you have as i have a pair of NOS 1986 rads i have never used and unlikely to.

Hoony, it's a '87 250 but I think they share the same rads...do you want me to take them off your hands in exchange for money ?

Yes, Happy to part with them if they fit your RH i will check my CR250 Fiche today and report back.

email or PM me and we can sort it out if you are interested.

Edit...

I checked the fiche and 1986 RG & 1987 RH rads are same item (85' and 88' have different #'s to 86 & 87)
