and then to wake up to the smell of Bacon and two stroke
The Clarence Track can be a Lot of Fun so Bring it on!!!!

Fernando has had his shoulder operation a couple of weeks ago and from what I hear all went well. A long rehab (for the shoulder ;D) to follow. Can anyone confirm?
Totally agree we miss his 'presence' greatly. Hope he can make it to a few meetings this year as a spectator if not riding. Ahh the fire water. Seem to remember a serious episode with one particular guy partaking of a considerable amount at the EVO Challenge presentation a couple of years ago at Lakes ;D :o ;). Not a pretty result
I know he is harder to pass on the track than a house brick :o

The problem only seems to be when using Mozilla Firefox as a web browser.
Just use Any other browser, windows explorer for example works just fine.
-
There have been a few others with problems. It appears to be related to the Microsoft Internet Explorer undate a few days ago. I have had 5 members including Mick-De.
Some people can access it on one computer and not the other. Seems to be the latest version of explorer affected.
Try forcing the browser to refresh the cache image and also clear the browser internet history then try relaoding the page.
Maybe if you click on tools at the top menu of explorer then click on compatibility mode it may help.
We have not changed anything on the WEB page.
Try this link directly to the Clarence Flyer

Hey Montynut got to love the old microsoft. My macBook, I pad and four iphones don't have a problem, i wonder why??????
And why is it some people can sort out the problem when others struggle to think outside the square and then quickly assume that there is a problem with the website and have to shoot off an e-mail proclaiming to be the saviour of others.
Are well i'll just go back to my Macs and twiddle away.
See you all at Clarence.
PS better pack the winter woolys as there is a 90% chance of rain, but what do those guys know

Because you and the other guy that bought a MacBook ::) have the choice of like three programs in the whole world ;D
It is starting to look more like a problem with a Google update.
-
Hope this rain in SYD keeps up......It seems the clouds are too fat to get over the mountains. Only 0.4mm of rain at Lithgow today. Fingers crossed for just a light sprinkling over the next 3 days.
-
Camping on Friday night is OK from 16:30hrs

CAMPING Friday night conformed OK from 16:30hrs

What is the status of the Rain Falling ??????
-
Only 0.2mm today Pete but about 100mm on Tue night and yesterday. Wonder how the track is? From memory I don't think they had much drainage to deal with the big puddle lakes that form on some of the corners
-
Max Man - thanks for the update. That track is kinda sandy clayie and can get awful dusty quick, so maybe it will be spot on with that early week day rain. Sun streaming out at 7am Friday in Wollongong. Lookin good.

Just spoken to the mountain man at Wentworth Falls and fine and sunny. Forecast for more sunshine and 20 degrees. Not a lot of rain in Clarence over the past couple of days. Pack the bike, get out the camping gear and bring along the right attitude and have some fun.
Remember camping is permitted on Friday and Saturday with the gate open from 4.30 pm today.
It all looks good for a great weekend.
Weather forecast is

Sitting at the track ready to set up camp and waiting for someone to turn up and open the gate. Clear skies and no rain. Track needs maintenance, let's hope someone turns up with more than a shovel.
Some wet patches on the inside of the corners but it will dry up.
Still waiting.

Clear skies, no rain on the horizon. Track is being prepared now. So get the gear packed and fuel up the bikes.
Looking good

And another fine weekend of racing! Well done to the Heaven Committee for putting on another great event.
Thanks to all for pitching in with the flagging, this new system seemed to work well. A full race program and we were finished before 4pm.

Steam train isn't the word! Might have something to do with being an 84 Honda buddy!! :D

yep good fun was had all rounds,(apart from couple "wia's" :(),tad greasy sat, spoton for most on sundy,(havta revise my last lap strategies ;D), :P
ps Ando, think it was more the missing rad cap ;)
-
The steam (smoke?) screen was actually a cunning and devious race plan by KJ, he is a big fan of the Bond series of movies don’t you know ;D
The track was fantastic although my first lap on Saturday morning had me thinking that we were not in for a good weekend. The track came to us all weekend. No dust, moist track which didn't cut up or rut out badly was a heap of fun all day on Sunday. The weather was ideal.
Thanks to all the rides for the prompt marshal changes and co-operation with Bob, Mike and Greg H to make the day run smoothly.
Hope to see some photos soon as there were several purple vest out and about ;)
The WIAs are both home and resting. The most seriously injured rider has some broken bones (shoulder and elbow) that are still to be fully evaluated mid-week. Everyone hopes for a speedy and complete recovery.

Hey Steam Train, I thought you had invented a new way to clean the bike as you raced. Was looking for the sponge and sop bucket flapping off the back, but wait it was only you as you entertained the crowds and fellow races by going from one save to another. Never seen a bike do so many u turns, zig zags ( we were near the Zig Zag Railway ) around a track. If you had a speedo on the front wheel i bet it would show an increase of 50% over the traditional race line.
Good to see everyone enjoyed the weekend.
Spoke to Senior Barratt and young Jake appears to have only a knock to the leg and should be up and ready to race soon. He was grinning as he got a day of school.
See you in Canberra and it may be on the old Kumagutza track ( did i spell that the right way???)
Cheers

Not a bad wrap up of the weekend however i will wait for the novel by ERNEST HEMMINGWAY #100....
-
Have to agree with Greg Montynut, early laps on Saturday were a bit eeeww!! But the track and weather held up for an excellent days racing on Sunday.
A big thanks to Bob B, Carl B, Greg S, & Greg H, and all those who volunteered their services for flagging/marshalling. It made for a very slick & well run event.
I too await Ringo Hemmingway's latest novel on the weekends events.

Although my memory is fading in my 'middle age', I hate that term, I do remember MX being an endurance test as well as a race. Being an advocate for longer races, these 3 & 4 lap races are over almost before they begin, I thought I'd take it upon myself and lengthen my races anyway. Glad you noticed Bob. ;D
