Post by: albrid-3 on March 16, 2012, 08:36:40 pm
I have notice in the last 3 months or more there has been a large number of pre 85 mx bike up for sale, are these riders moving into pre90 bikes or just selling up and moving on.

There's a huge amount of pre 85 bikes being imported from the US and flooding the market here..

Agree when combined with the current economic conditions that sees many "cashing in" their toys.  Owners of older bikes might arguably be older (sorry if that offends not meant to) and likely to be more set up than those interested in the pre 85 stuff who are likely to be a bit younger and still have a mortgage, kids etc.  So it might just be priorities.

If I hadn't been there to slow that Honda down Andy, it would've ended up in the Yanakie Caravan Park..... ::)

Do DDR still want$10,000 for a $1000 dollar bike, :D sorry if that offends anyone, but thats what it used to be like.

cheers Dale.

DDR seems to be getting better on that front - presumably for all of the market driven reasons. They're like a used car dealer, really - you pay more for the relative convenience.

DDR are not too bad now, I've been in there a few times lately and prices are more realistic..

I bought my yz 125 h from ddr and I doubt I could have bought such a low hour bike cheaper anywhere else. Jim bought his '88 CR 250 from them and it was a good buy as well.
I'd happily buy from them again. :)

Mac.Gyver1, on ebay, imports good quality Pre 90, Pre 85 mx bikes at sensible prices.
 Imports into Brisbane.
