Went to an evening with Kevin Mcleod (Grand designs on TV ) the other night , Hes a nice fella a bit of a idealist but a nice bloke all the same.
Now Kevins a greenie , but not usual flax wearing , dirtbike hating faggot greenie that i usually want to beat until im tired greenie >:(
No ole Kevs a much more diluted greenie. He could actually be the poster boy for the greenie movement as he actually makes you think about recycling and non essential waste in a way that you think shit that sounds cool and maybe i can make a difference :) unlike those sandal wearing extreme maggots who i just want to set fire to >:(
What got me thinking that we VMX folk are doing the right thing and quite without intention :o is we recycle old motorbikes 8) none of that off to the dealer every 9 months for a new bike for us no sirie ;) we reclaim bikes from the past and as they will tell you we are recycling :)
I cant wait till next time down the mall when one of those stinking maggots ask what im doing to save the planet , i shall drag him or her (i cant usually tell as their all hairy and smell like a postmans sock ) by the dreadlocks to my shed and show them first hand the good work im doing ;D
Then i shall beat them till im tired and set fire to them ( but i will sprinkle thier ashes on the garden ) ;D
So bottom line Well done everybody keep up the good work ;D

I reckon that's about right there Billy T.

For a greenie he's pretty quick in a car.

dont get me started ,
recently the "greenies" stopped the 2nd last round of the australian off road series at mount seaview in the hastings valley an area , and it had to be moved to the port macquarie sprint and motocross desinated area , which as usually the promoter , (a rider/competitor/ normal guy trying to lift the profile of off road events and make a go of it ) and the motorcycle fraterinty (hastings club members) and ma made the best of it and it was a great success , in the meantime the area that was objected to is private land with the owner onside and has had previous events run without incident, whilst we were at the event some lowlife intruders stole all the promoters gear , generators etc from mount seaview as the promoter had not time to get all his gear back to the venue before it started , unbeknown to the landholder , possible the same under rock , complainers , who dont mind collecting our public monies to support their greenie lifestyle, as far a I and 99% of others are concerned we are all consevationists and allways do more good to the enviourment than harm might leave a few tracks in the scrub but not as many as all the livestock and scum spraying their dope plants with insecticides and it running off into pristine waters , since the promoter has gone down the tubes and said he wont ever consider doing any thing again cause he ' did his arse and lost money' and is now looking for a job, as usual the minority who we educate and support get the wood on us and personally i would roost off them in a heartbeat rather than run over a wood duck >:( >:( >:(

Another thing we in the VMX world do for the Green Cause is we hate to see good land built up and out. We want nice open land so we can ride!! If I had my way I would save all that water and fertiliser that goes into maintaing the Golf Courses of Australia by turning them into MX Tracks for Young and Old alike. Have you noticed how you can't seem to go more than 10klms in any direction from the centre of a City without hitting a Golf Course, Do we need that Many? I know we need more MX Tracks close to the City. What do you think?

I dont play golf 'cause I am forever seeking good lines (not lays) and dreaming about where the start gate should go-what gear would I take into that bunker etc...etc.... >:( >:( :D :o :o

I reckon he might have a point. We are an incredibly wasteful society. However sticking a windmill atop every hill ain't going to do any good for the electricity supply.

Get out your copy of Monkey Butt and remind yourself how it can go with land closures. Its been quiet on this front for awhile in Aus but I reckon the "them" are going about eradicating we nasty envirovandals in less blatant/obvious measures, slowly slowly, because it surely doesn't seem to be getting easier to ride - road or dirt.

Im torn on the voting issue Marc 50% of the bastards are a turd wrapped in gold leaf and the other 50% are gold leaf wrapped in a turd ::)
So does one unwrap the leaf to find the shit centre or does one dig through the turd in the hope of finding the gold .
I have been on the Maori electrol role for the last 20 yrs witch narrows the options further ???
i had considered standing as an independant , but i have been advised i am to reserved and honest to be an MP

Sorry do you have interlectual issues apart from the inability to spell and compose a sentence, Grey Possum was introduced into NZ from Australia and is 1000% non native noctious species, due to its appetite for native birds eggs amoungst other things. So the Government poisons them and cars run over them and we do our part, sort of a Kiwi Cane Toad but much cuter.
The Air Ranger costs about the same price as a VMX bike and takes care of them nicely.

Nice toy gun

Aha - so I guess that means it is an air powered rifle? I was wondering why it was so big for shooting at such a little thing with

Yeah I never guessed you had just paddled in on Tainui canoe.... er correct me if I am wrong and I don't mean to be racist or anything but you don't exactly look Maori.
I take it there is some ploy involved to claim beachfront around Torpo

Took my sons out with me when I was helping to lay out a trial. They'd been in NZ for about 2-3 weeks. One of them looked up into a tree to see a possum and said it was the biggest rat he'd ever seen ;D
-
Tasmania also has developed problems with high possum numbers since the thylacine was wiped out
-
So do you do the Haka dance before you shoot them
-

i have always shot at small things with a pretty big weapon :P

Nah we only do it before we beat the Aussies French and the Poms ;D

Hes just pissed we beat them in the rugby mark

actually my last nights shooting was in the Wanganui Municiple Gardens, open for your enjoyment 24 hours of the day ..... so hence the air rifles on a council sponsored shoot up :o

Wanganui council is handing out free heroin?

Cool does this all co-enside with the Johnny Old in March ;D
cheers A

I watched the Rugby in brisbane, and I don`t follow rugby as a rule, I must say that the all Blacks had it won in the first 15 minutes of game play, all good NZ, you know your rugby, but when it comes to racing bikes you need some training. :D

That Air Ranger is a nice piece of kit. Can you get the gas refilled?
I have been to NZ a couple of times, mainly to kill things that were introduced, and I must say what a breath of fresh it was to be in a place that has not been ruined by wrist wringing, nanny state types who would ban everything etc etc .... . The second time i went over to enjoy some huntin' shootin & fishin' I left my guns at home due to the outrageous amount of paperwork I was asked to fill out. I simply went to the local hunting/fishing shop in Christchurch and hired it, with one piece of paper picked up at the airport to verify who I was- . After picking out a deer rifle and a 12g shottie the young bloke behind the counter said ,"would you like a suppressor with that".(Silencer). And he never asked to see my piece of paper/license. It would be a bastard if that ever changed. NZ is my sort of place.

Suzuki27, You sound Like a gunslinger, I think you fit well in USA at the OK Corral.
I was a Duck hunter years ago unit one morning 5am sunrise shot no ducks that morning, three other hunters in white overalls and a red beanie walking back to car carrying their water pistols and three swans, thats the day I quite hunting and sold my Berretta 12 gauge, they call it a sport F@@@King Dickheads
-
Welcome Back Ross.
-
Wallie, if I saw 3 guys wearing white overalls and red beanies who successfully shot some swans with a water pistol, I would sell my guns also- and probably get a check-up by a friendly mental heath professional!
Are you a vegetarian Mr Nimmo? Each to their own I suppose.

I am happy that you agree, this topic is going nowhere, I would like to talk about bikes, now that is a sport.

You are onto something TM. There have been some genuine people ( no labels plz) who studied and calculated the amount of pollution( I'm not calling it not greenhouse gas) made during the manufacturing of a new car ,fuel efficient, green car whatever is never offset or recouped by the efficiency of that car compared the car that already is on the road. The best thing to do enviromentally is to keep the old cars going like in Cuba where they drive cars from the pre revolution era .The elbow grease involved in keeping an older car on the road is very friendly on the enviroment .The folks that came up with that finding have for some reason just dissappeared from main stream media. ::)
-
That is 100% corect moto.....the carbon footprint of a Toyota Prius is more than a gas guzzling HumV.....what the?

sorry I wasn't referring to one new car against another .I was reffering to the governments trying to get old inefficient cars off the road. Cash for clunkers etc.Obviously two new cars will have a carbon foot print in the manufacturing in the first place and then difference's in the carbon footprint made during use on the road.
-
Apparently a large dog has a larger carbon footprint than a medium sized car. Go figure.

You fill it from a dive bottle. I also have Theoben 25 that can bust Disprins at 50m and group MOA at 100m on a good day. Ideal for rounding up Possums and Magpies or any other Aussie pest from SA.
