Hi Slakewell,
If you are coming all the way from Armidale to do a HEAVEN round do not forget that HEAVEN caters for PRE 65 to Pre 85 bikes. Also do not pay attention to GEORGE as he is a trouble maker.
Contact HEAVEN thru there website www.heaven-vmx.com
Thank you
Fernando

Calling me a trouble maker was a bit harsh Farnendo I was only trying to help out
by offering some advice. It appears I was out slightly with the classes catered for.
Shoot me >:(

My sister lives at Gundy and runs a B@B so free Acc , I dont think Ive been to a Heaven round since the last Amaroo
Can I pre enter and pay on the day?
-
You can but they will charge you a $20 fee on top of the entry fee because will be classed as a late entry
-
Hi Slakewell,
I suggest you call the secretary at HEAVEN or e-mail them and find out for yourself what you need to do. Like that you will have the correct answers.
You must go to Lake Glenbawn, you will love the track, I highly recommend that venue .
Cheers

Finally got the 490 Maico going again and very much looking forward to having a ride after missing the last three rounds, missed
all those happy smiling alcohol or adrenalin fuelled faces, will be heading up for friday night special (tiny teddies and bottle something :D), might even send me entry in early for a change to avoid the new imposed late fee
Who ls coming, is everyone camping at the track, your turn for the turkey Rick ::)
-
Ok I will try and make this one , It's only 3 hours for me to drive. I should do one race this year I guess.
-
I am the turkey ,Turtle sounds like were animals
-
looks like no fourstroke race in the evo chalenge , was there one last year
-
I am the turkey ,Turtle sounds like were animals
Sure we have both had our moments :D
Who will be there friday night and are you camping at the track, u cabin boys are getting soft :-*
F#ck me it is quiet on he NSW front, seems eerily quiet, cant remeber Ekka if there was four stroke class last year for trophy races, which race was the Magoo memorial, Pre 85 or EVO and is Damo defending it this year after taking out last year
Good to see you are making the trip Slakewell, Glenbawn is a geat track with heaps of hills for clutch starts for the Maicos
and very vintage friendly, cant wait to get back out for a ride after a short layoff :)
-
Great to see you got that crank fitted and sorted out Turtle... ;D
Mate your old CRF is going great !! :) :) :) Might even bring it to Glenbawn ... 8)
I also got the KX going after a complete stator replacement, so see ya there !! (I am a "soft" cabin boy though... :P )
-
Good to hear the CRF is going good, bet you have got it looking immaculate 8)
I dont know if there is any free riding time on Saturday with the trophy races being Saturday arvo, would check with Heaven first before taking up modern :-\
That KX looks great, be a shame to get it dirty. :P
-
I called the club mate, and the "Recreational Riding" session Saturday morning from 0930 - 1200 is ok for modern bikes.
Should bring the 300 Berg !!! ;D
By the way ... you wont recognise your old CRF ..... ;)
-

travelled nearly 5 hours to get there an then bein told its been called off is really
a big kick in the guts... >:(
-
We feel your pain mate (we did same), however the event organisers made the right decision in the end. I stayed there all weekend and the rain didn't let up any. :-[
-
Yes well 7 hours for me ,no refund on cabin, two days off work another loss of coin from a heaven meet (did save on diesel in the new truck :) ) and i recall back early in the year for the c.r.c long range weather forecast to wet to race so it was moved a week later , so what happen this time ,rader broke mmmm best stop now ::)
-
We know CRC was changed to TRY & screw over the PRE90 fellas >:(
Last Friday got a email from the club saying all was good for a good
weekend of racing then the next morning its off WTF ::)

one for EKKA
The long range did not mention the rain all weekend, the front only moved in on late Thursday.
You are not the only one that got inconveneinced. A lot of work went into putting the event on and the decision to cancel was made with regret.

One day you will come out and introduce your self. I take offence at you putting up mis-informed shit on this forum. As I said before if you got something to say, say to the people and stop hiding behind your handle. You forget that quite a few people from Heaven ride with the pre 90 guys.
No one is trying to screw any one.

Anyone who's ridden with HEAVEN for a while will know that around Bulahdelah/Glenbawn has become rainfall central. The number of events that have been impacted by the weather over the past few years is astounding. The decision to move the CRC was sensible given what happened there a few years back with weather, and this weekend sadly shows that it doesn't seem to matter what time of year it is. Sometimes there's just nothing you can do. No club goes to all the trouble of setting up a race meeting and then canning it without giving it a lot of thought.
I reckon it's a bloody shame that our weather has it in for dirtbike events, but that's the way it is. So how about we all just cop it sweet and move on.
(Fingers crossed for Rockley!)

Rockley will be on Rain,Snow,Hail or shine

Most clubs always do there best.
I have run everything from casual club days to full on states rounds , I was the clerk of course at the first ever thumber nats, there is little or no shit I haven't seen before.
Now I was keen as to attend this meeting but even my feeble brain was smart enough to look here on Thursday http://www.weatherzone.com.au/ and go that's not looking good. I dont do mud anymore unless it's a big meeting . Take some responsibility for your actions your old men not kids.
-
gee wizza ill have to start using weatherzone instead of http://www.bom.gov.au/ for
the next vmx meet.... ???
