Thats a Kum T Mmmmmmmm Kevvy........youd have to own one to appreciate it though.......I have 2 so I can have her sister aswell. ;D :-* :-* :-*
90% of mail is about Carbon Tax - Are we bored with bikes? Are we having a lean to the green side of life? are we just crusty old mx riders who have had there C/Dirt fix and are in limbo?......lolThis forum went off track months ago and most of the old school motocross guys moved on and what you have now is the result.
when you put up a thread about a resto you've done no-one replies? yet you take the same bike to the track and spend all day talking to people about it.
Halelujah on the change of topic.
Somehow I don't think the other one is dead just yet.
Also bought a couple of TM400 engines for $300 .... one is going into a gasp TM400 and just pondering the other ones future .... 74 Maico frame maybeNo marc don't waste a good Maico frame.. ;)

74 Maico frame maybeIt won't fit...side exhaust port fouls the frame downtube.

Marc ...... Looks like Mr Felton is going to be quite busy in the new year ;D
have a spare tm400 in the shop ,mate has a spare rl 250 frame little bit of cutting and motor now fits-it getting turned into a dirt tracker with whats laying around the workshop ,next mod rm370 swingarm-bit longer than a rl oneAnything has a longer swingarm than an RL, it's little wonder those things were so easy to lift the front wheel on
Race pants? Ummm, OK, go for it. But can you get ummm a proper model to show them off? Someone err younger and more curvy, perhaps even female?
Now, without meaning to piss in Jason's pocket, isn't that KX250 from East Coast Vintage gorgeous? Man I love the look of those things.
Here it is again (or if you prefer, look at the pic full size: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/jpw3578/Vintage%20Motorcross/1979%20KX250%20Fox%20Air/DSC07056.jpg)

There are thirty bike related threads on this forum. In those thirty threads are hundreds of bike related topics. There is one general discussion thread. General discussion is usually for any off topic subjects that us motorcyclists are interested in. In the hundreds of topics in the general discussion there is one about carbon tax. Obviously it has some interest to people, as it has run for twenty odd pages.(http://i753.photobucket.com/albums/xx172/mike52_photo/Many%20jiff/smiley-score0101-1.gif)
I don't understand why the angst over one thread amongst hundreds. It is to some degree still a free country and you can avoid that one thread. Reading it and then wining about it doesn't contribute to the forum. Go out to the shed take pictures of your bike junk and start a bike junk in shed thread or something.
As for soft porn, it lowers the forum further and I now have to make sure my kids aren't on my lap when I'm on here. Those who complain the forum is going downhill may actually be oiling the wheels of decline.
Can we block the carbon tax thread? get back to why we are on this forum, or it's gone. I have a cross-ectiion of bikes in the shed, trials to Enduro to road bikes. I joined here to gain some more info on these bikes, not listen to carbon copy crap.
Please Admin, could plz slow this carbon stuff down?

And as there are a few folk whom dont feel we fit the family with some soft porn I have changed my avatar, You can chose to not see them in custom settings on your profile but it's ok .
Ironically, I've copped grief in the past for being a bore by posting up "too much" info about old dirt bikes. Not from me Nathan :)
please please please do not compromise your outstanding standards (eg pictures like miss stiff nipples a few pages back and your Avatar) just to suit someone elses small minded view on the world.
So please, on behalf of those of us that are are comfortable with ourselves, our sexuality, understand that it takes all types to make the world go around, realise that forums are good fun, are a great source of advice, assistance and tips (and sometimes humour), please please please do not compromise your outstanding standards (eg pictures like miss stiff nipples a few pages back and your Avatar) just to suit someone elses small minded view on the world.
Marc, so we will see you at the Johny Old meeting next year with a few of your steds ;D
Is it any wonder that there's been a mass exodus from the forum? The real reason for this forums very existence has been forgotten by the political science professors and bar room economists over on the carbon tax thread. The last time I looked the forum was called OZVMX not Global Warming Tragics.Com.
If it wasn't for the Classic Dirt Track boys and their great photo thread this forum would be almost totally devoid of anything of any interest to do with old dirt bikes. Jeez ::)
Slakewell I love your new red ladyboy -shes hot !!
cheers A
Actually, I find MarcFX's avatar the most frightening.... :oIts the water Ajay , does that to the women. :o
Slakewell I love your new red ladyboy -shes hot !!Fixed for you ;D
cheers A

Don't you get it? Forums, and the internet generally, are the world's largest democracies. Build a bridge, get over it. People vote by posting.
But even at the practical level forums need a certain volume of posts to be successful - too few and it's not worth visiting, too many and it is too hard to follow. I can point you to plenty of unsuccessful forums which are very very specialised with very little throughput. I think this forum has it about right.
Gee, how hard is it to read the thread title and make a decision to open it or not ::).
As others have said, its under the title of General Discussion not Go Fast Tips for '68 CZ's. There is no pretense of being VMX.Not as much as you clowns bangin on about carbon tax for 23 pages! My God you guys bang on about things don't you :-[.Is it any wonder that there's been a mass exodus from the forum? Like Oldschool and several others have said.. this is a Vintage Motocross forum and that's what old school dirt bike guys get on here to read about.. not politics!!
Thanks to people like you most of those guys have moved on.. but you wouldn't have even noticed that.
Comprehend??
Judging from your posts 5 pages of drivel is just a spit in the ocean for you..
(And now we have 5 pages of drivel from the Internet Police/Grumpy Old Opinionated Men who mwant to fight the tides of change and democracy::) ;D).
(I'll have to change my avatar - it is just too tame in this company ::))
John, post some pictures of that Bultaco I sold you. It's in storage in brisbane at the moment mate but i did restore it and got Jim Pomeroy to sign the tank when he was here :)
Slakewell I love your new red ladyboy -shes hot !!Fixed for you ;D

Too hard apparently. How about some respect for our site administrator???He started the carbon tax thread and why not ?Its a big issue.Where else would he start a discussion about it if he needed some opinions on it ?At the pub ? or the kindy playground?I think he was interested in the views of friends and VMX minded people.Thats his interest, his group ,so why not ask? He must have considered it worthwhile.ie. OUR OPINIONS worthwhile.
As MX250 already said in was under general discussion and its not as if fossil fuels, emissions and carbon tax aren't at all related to our sport. Some of you guys just want to keep your head in a VMX sandpit and forget everything else thats going on around you.One day you might just find that the Greens have gained such an influence that our politically incorrect pastime of VMX is nolonger allowed.
No one was holding a gun against your head to read or contribute to the thread , just like no one is holding one agianst me to read the Bultaco sub section .So I dont - whats the problem with you lot?
Cool shot Chris.. Yeah i believe the mk7 and mk8's were very competive in the day. Guess i better ride one and findout ;)Yeah those Bully's certainly look the part when restored.. funny thing is i've never ridden one!

John, before I rode the Maico last year, the Mk 8 was the most balanced bike I had ridden of that vintage (probably still ranks higher than all the post-81 bikes that I have ridden)
