Genius Graeme 8),
Obviously you are charging royalties of one stubby per use of these ideas ;D ;D
The Dyna bolt is even re-useable ;)
What's the go with the top one ?

I think it's to stop the leg from splitting when removing & replacing the seal???
The last one has me wondering???

What's the go with the top one ?
The hose clamp reinforces the alloy lip as you lever out the seal ;) :).

Zip ties - a quick way to check 'run out' - up,down and side to side ;) :)

Zip ties (look to the top of the pic) to check wheel alignment after a respoke/rebuild...

Bloody obvious after you have snapped, bent and deformed a few ::)

Just use a heat gun....for removing and installing.

Hmm I have always had a brass 3/8 rod with a small lip that gets wheel bearing out everytime , but I like the Dyna bolt idea.

This part of a kit thing has traveled Oz with me and pulled heaps of seal out.

It is called a seal puller ;D
But saying that who does not admire ingenuity.
Thumbs up for the heat gun too Davey, very handy.

Q - What does a Walrus & mr Tupper have in common?
A - They both like tight seals.
I have to say you have a very impressive tool there MICK-DE.
I haven't seen one of those before.
This thread has leg's.
-
Yeah I'm pretty happy with it :D

You can buy those Slide Hammer type seal & bush pullers from your friendly gold encrusted 'Snap-On' toolman.

I think the dynabolt would be a wee bit cheaper ;) :P.

Hey slakewell, using brass or aluminium is not recmended for nocking out or in bearings, gears, etc as little pieces get into places undesirable.
I always use a piece of mild steel [not hardened] with any burrs ground off.
cheers pancho.
