I would have said any decent plumbing shop would be able to match that.
Is the thread 10mm (looks too course for that) or the barb?

btw I've got a plumber living next door.  ;D

Paul, when you say 10 mm do you mean that`s what size spanner fits it or is that the hose size that fits it.  If a 10 mm spanner fits it then i would say the thread could be 1/4 npt as it looks to course to be metric. You should be able to get that fitting in brass at any bearing or air hose supplier. Peter.

Gas ...supplier should have then  ;)       ask for a barb outlet   8 mm Male iron

Sorry mate....  gas fitter supplier  =- LPG - NG - AC fittings                       If you go to any Reece joint looking for fittings of such it needs to be a HVAc store  http://www.reece.com.au/hvacr
Gas welding supplier  might ???       never had much luck myself.

The closest you will get in a gas fitting is 1/4" bsp I've never run into anything metric

Smallest size that most gas/plumbing supplers will have is 1/8 BSP or NPT in either straight or parallel. 1/8 is not the thread OD size though its the ID size. 1/8 fittings have a thread OD of approx 3/8". Also try some car shops like Sprint Auto Parts or Autobahn or Supercheap Auto as they usually have some fittings like that.

One place i know who has metric fittings is Goodridge

http://www.goodridge.net
http://www.goodridge.co.uk/

Australian Importer is
http://www.johnstamnas.com/

If you go to Goodridge site, download their catalogues and you will see metric fittings

Another easy way is someone can machine one up for you out of a lump of brass.

These guy's in geelong have a fair assortment of smaller brass stuff than what you will get at an ordinary reece etc etc I know because I have been in there before. ;)

Gas And Industrial Supplies
LPG Delivery & Exchange, Gas Appliances, Commercial & Forklift LPG
Gas Suppliers - North Geelong, VIC (03) 5278 8999

even if you cant get something exactly the same you can weld a small  bit of copper onto the brass and adapt it that way.
