Yes that was the rubber flap I bought off you Rod. I sent it to 4 robs rubber reproductions but his factory burnt to the ground so it was out of my control. Well I sold a complete PE400 motor for $40 in 2003, that’s my only regret that I wish to forget :(

Awesome job Fabrice. I'm in the process of doing my PE 400 aswell. Having trouble finding original fork boots. I ordered some from Suzuki the other day but when they turned up they are blue. It seems part #5157141211 has been superseeded to 51571-38265-38K. They make you pay before you order, and now these parts seem useless. Did later PE's have blue fork boots? Can't wait to see your finished product. Congratulations on a fine job. :)

What attention to detail, what chance a translation into English! Can you post some images of the complete bike with all the plastics on it?

Cheers

Beautiful job Fabrice. I will be happy if my 400 turns out half as good. Tell where did you get your tank, mudguard and shockabsorber stickers from. I still have some stickers on mine but am scared they will rip if I try to remove them.

They didn't have 400's in france did they Fabrice?  But that looks like new the 400T are a nice looking bike that looks great well done.

Are the plastics NOS?

PE 400's were not imported to France. Fabrice somehow found an Australian complianced model in france. Initally we thought maybe Geoff Udy left one of his bikes there when the ISDT was held in france but that turned out not to be the case. It ended up there somehow ???.

A place in france made the shock stickers. There is is a guy on this forum that had some made but i cant remember his name. He is in WA.
You can get tank and sidecover stickers here http://www.suzuki-pe.co.uk/ and same seller on ebay here http://shop.ebay.co.uk/davemoto/m.html

Richard Argus at [email protected] can hook you up with those shockie labels, does a fantastic job too.
You would struggle to pick any difference. Printed on the chrome sticker material with the slight gold tinge as per original, simply brilliant!

Thanks guys for the info on the stickers. Hopefully the frame will be at the powder coaters in the next few weeks and I can get back on the job. I've been a bit sidetracked lately with my current IT465 rebuild.
