Who'd have thought Cheng Shin would still be going now? back in 76 we called them "Chook Shit" as they were pretty useless. I think rears were $30 and Yokahama 501 super diggers were $50

Well actually they don't have CST anymore. Phone call confirmed what i thought. Website is outdated. Trying to find a 350 x 18 classic pattern tyre for front of an old road bike. Can't be picky, choice is limited so its down to what ever is available.

are a few that still do that size. what about metzler or even mitas. that do classic tyres. recently fitted a pirelli to a bike and im sure it was that size but its not a classic style tyre.

Interesting no one in Oz seems to be doing the old Chengas any more, they had a good range of different sizes & types

They make Avon Roadrunners in good compounds but with the same old pattern Leith.

Hey Leith, PRO Accessories in Brisbane are the Avon importers, they have the biggest range of classic road and race tyres....ring Greg 07-32770693....tell him I sent you.

IRC have a classic range, I luved me cheng shin on the back of my XR500 good on the road and grate on the dirt would let go evenly(and earlier), on a full lock power out of a corner, other brands (in the day) hung on longer but would then let go all together (slide out enevatable )
on starts out the gate hooked up well
