Micheal  Hernik passed away on stage 3 no causes found as yet doesn't seem to be an accident

failing to maintain position has pushed TP down the ranks but a late arvo charge has him making up ground.

Jacobsen withdrew at Stage 8. Price is still doing really well.

Some controversy a day or so ago about a stage that went thru a flooded salt plain, with the salt water causing plenty of problems for many bikes. I couldn't help but wonder whether it would've caused such issues for the simpler bikes of days gone by, such as XT500, XL600 et al.

they would have all stopped as soon as salt dried on the plug Tex, its a fantastic conductor..you have to keep wiping the plug base clean. happened at the wet mallee rally years ago. caught lots of people till they twigged...

Yes, but it sounds like it would've been easier to fix than the rot that affected the electronics of these bikes.

Price has come in at third place on Stage 11, and is now listed as 3rd in the overall standings.

Price will be spewin that he didn't follow Coma the other day.
Had he not lost all that time wandering around he would be just seconds off winning it now.
