Seriously, they were far too expensive for Joe Average so my guess is they simply priced themselves out of the market. Probably won't even be missed as i can't say I know anyone who has ever bought them ::)..go the Woolies donuts! cheaper at half the price :D

IF they didnt concentrate all the stores on the East coast maybe they would have turned a freakin profit.

I'd like to own one at sydney and melbourne airports - would be a license to print money.

I see it as a case of BAd management and BAD marketing.  Some people should just not hold management positions.  I see ladies flying out with 3 carton under there arms !!!

Maybe try the glaZed one DOC they ROCK, woolies have just started to copy them as has coles, so they now need to remarket the more profitable lines.

It serves the pricks right.
 They're..............
1: Absolutely the bottom of the food chain nutritionally.
2:Too expensive
3:Not in the same league both in taste and price as Donut King

I remember when the Krispy Kreme drive through donut shop opened near Penrith Panthers club, the poor hopeless followers of fashion and trend were lined up around the block for the 'privilege' of passing over good money for a potential coronary. My god daughter rang me one morning at around 6am to tell me she was in the line at Krispy Kreme and wanted to know if I wanted a 12 pack? When she told me it'd cost me $40 for the experience I politely declined and went back to bed.
It's tough enough losing weight without eating that shit......good riddance.

An Australian Icon - surely you jest?  ???
When a woman says "What?", it's not because she didn't hear you, she's giving you the chance to chance to change what you said.

Administration is not liquidation.

Liquidation is what happens if the administrators can't bail the company out, and it goes bankrupt (in very simplified terms!).

The article makes it sound like they've called the administrators in very early - for whatever reasons - which greatly improves the odds of the business surviving.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Thanks for the accounting term lesson Nathan,I knew the difference but thought liquidation was a better head line.
Jeff yes its all a joke mate,we all know Krispy Kreme doesnt rate as an Oztralian icon like stubbies,XXXX beer, and meat pies.
