From Hardly Normal $120.00 and it seems OK , I have bags of negs that the ex gave me after the judge told her to so she was a bit nasty and just emptied all of them into one big bag with NOOO labels so its a duck shoot for me.

I seen em  4 sale at Aussie post too on friday for roughly the same dollars,I wondered about them as a mate took a whole heap of pics of early 80,s mr mx & put them into slide format back in the day,he,s not into bikes anymore so i,ve been trying to get em off him for ages,he lives interstate so I cant just go round there & get him to get them out for me he,s a slack mongrel,I,ll have to go & visit him then go & buy one of them gizmos, looks like they work good,I noticed you can put them in backwards,or the startline shot is from russia,XOF riding gear & the rider KCAD!,heh-heh

This is Brad Lewis and I , Brad turned the spanners and I did the riding I think this would been 88 Mountian Man I quaified for the feature race so I finished about 20th or lower which was ok since I was riding WR Husky and Brad put a 8 x 20 cent bits into each fork to firm them up after practice.

I bought my scanner a few weeks ago from Aldi for around $65 and even though it's a relative cheapie it looks the goods. I haven't used it as yet but my friends daughter borrowed it and reckons it works a treat. I don't understand this stuff all that well but for what it's worth it's 5.0 megapix and 1800 dpi.
I have hundreds of slides from my days in the USA including many shots from when I worked in the Supercross business. There are also some great slides from the USGP at Carlsbad scanning five years including one particular photo that I remember of a naked Adolph Weil being hosed down between motos in the 100+ degree heat. My stuffs in storage and it'll take me a couple of weeks to getting to it but this thread has prompted me to get my arse into gear and do it.

Great FREE software to play with your scans can be found here...and despite the name, small animals,
tubes and hospital visits are not mandatory parts of the package...

Here's how it solves your immediate problem....
