I am not real impressed with the new e-bay system of not disclosing the bidders user name on purchases over $500.

I could tell if the seller constantly sold to one particular buyer (stooge mate?)

and also if someone else i know was bidding (probably why they changed it)

but then again I've never purchased any $500 items

nathan,
that picture of the honda scares me, a combination of items together that can cause tears.

1.fitted chain

2. gearlever

3.shiny piston on end of conrod

scenario-moving bike,bump gearlever,spin motor=tears and $

don't ask how I know all about such things.

had the same problem with a bike wrecker that advertises their wares on a shiny piece of chequerplate.

when questioned over their poor description of good condition, and receiving no reply,I left negative feedback.

They then gave me a negative feedback as a payback, even though they had full payment before sending goods.

E-bays best offer was to agree to disagree and pull both negatives from public viewing.
I left it as it was,at least anyone viewing my tarnished feedback record could see my reply.

All in all,it was only one incident in many positive transactions.

D-pre 78 grasstrack tuned, post78 more tuned for modern tracks (my ideal setup )
E-probably a classic look.

I checked out Walters shockie session at Classic Dirt 4 and it was good to find out just how the shocks were made and how the various components were selected and used to produce a top quality product
for a reasonable price.
It must be put into perspective, the relatively small numbers of VMX shocks versus the huge numbers of
other types.
we should be thankful that someone with an interest in VMX is producing something we need.
It is quite often easier to put the effort into a more cost effective product.

General Discussion / Re: Where too with VMX your thoughts please.
« on: July 31, 2007, 12:38:28 am »
I have read and observed that most vmx riders tend to ride the bikes of their youth or the ones that they would have liked to ride back then.

as time moves on and the older riders retire, the new ones choice of bikes tend to be a couple of years newer, therefore the older bikes numbers slowly drop off.

But then there must be some like myself and nathan S that just like to ride old clunkers,

only my views
