All good fellas keep talking and form an opinion.The current fron runners in the Pre-75 Open class don't seem to have any objections letting sliders race in with them.More to the point, what about the bloke traveling from QLD with a CR125-how many races does he get? I can only count one. If that class has enough entries (and probably will) it will run as heats and a final (and rightly so) he could be eliminated after 1 race.He can't ride up a class, thats a long way for one race.Is it an essential part of classic racing that we maintain a fleet of motorcycles.This example is a true account of what happened to a bloke I pitted next to at Wagga 2 yrs ago.If we change the title and delete the 4-stroke bit we will get the age divisions.Anyhow 80 odd entries is great and will see you there.

our club days let
125 ride up 1 class to 250
250 ride up 1 class to unlimited (all powers)
251-500 up 1 class to unlimited(all powers)
sliders all in upright laydown 125cc 500cc ect
so everyone gets 2 rides per round

Thats right Jim, if they didn't no one would go to a club day.The GCR's read (for champs) different.Maybe we should look at why only a small percentage go to DT Nats, when the movement seems so strong.We still have more entries than Open Champs,and there will be well over a 100 bikes at the ranch, in my book thats a success, gunna hit the road now hope everyone can give this some thought-,it may not be the answer I'm just tryin to make it better.

Pete,only a small % this time,but last years ACT Nats pulled a big crowd,i guess all the planets aligned?,could have been a bit more central too!,but plenty of bannalanders made the trip,swings & roundabouts methinks??

done & dusted again,top weekend,big thankyou to Hunter club,flaggies,volunteers,well done n run,gooood fun,except for the crash victims,bad luck guys,congrats to all the winners,but guess we were all winners/grinners for just being there!,sorry about your inlet valves Pete,probably couldn't hear them for my exhaust along side you, ,jimbo made sure you didn't get any further forward anyway  ,retribution was swift,CZ faceplant in turn 1 wasn't real pretty,glad i was on the inside then too,Brett (on the outside) headed for the xpressway via the access road,major dumb thing was after that last race,getting out of riding gear,loading bikes n crap into van,wandered over to tower to watchfinals,then finding out i made the finals,ooops,pull it all back out,get gear on for last race of the day,thanks nifty for 6th,guess i ran out of rocks to throw at you?? ,good running into a few new faces too,hope you all made it home safely too,Col,we didn't meet up??, (at least i don't think we did),was lotta camp fires to get through ,cheers Mick

curly it`s good to hear that the sliders are the "leppers" now.as it takes the heat of those dirty, good for nothing,can`t ride a two wheel bike because it will fall over,always holding up the meeting- sidecars.the only thing a sidecar is good for is to dress the track after the water truck has been out.
that reminds me i must check under my jockey wheel guard for mud as she was pulling left.

As the gcrs state for model's..they could cut SUN<JAMES<SAROLEA and NORMAN to name a few

The Griffith Nats were an absolute BLAST , so many great bikes , so much great racing , so many old friends , things are a bit blurred for me as I was commentating the meeting and after 160 races it's hard to remember who did what to who and with what , I only took my bike to ride in Sunday's parade, however I felt my job on the mic was more important and I am proud that me young Bro, Jim, rode it in the parade for me.

One of the Highlights, for me, was watching Graham Roberts ride the wheels off the Velo Venom , going into Turn 3 at warp 5 and then full noise  legtrailing out like a Thirties Speedway rider.

There seems to be some confusion about slider eligibility, however , as I stated in my earlier post, they are eligible for their machines age related classes and that is the way it should be.

It's an amazing high,when you have a great race day.
Put the politcis and the need for the GCR to sharpen their tools all on hold.
