The Go Pro 5 helmet camera was mounted on the top of my helmet for the following film.

So what do we think, is it okay or should the helmet camera be side mounted.
Cyclegod what is your view.
You have a lot of experiance with these things, your opinion is valuable.

We were invited to ride with Dan Reardon on the weekend at Coolum Motocross park. Coolum is one of the pro modern tracks here in Queensland. It is a sand track with hard pack jumps.
When we arrived we meet a young lady that was new to MX so I suggested that I capture her first time on her new Honda.

If you think it is easy to ride behind a slow rider on a sand track think again, it was great training, I had to work quite hard to keep the bike upright.

That camera and lens gives a good coverage and good quality shot 8). The fisheye look is a little off putting but overall gives a good result :).

Thanks MX250 I agree.
I have never been one for fish eye shots but on a track it seems to work out.
For the price of these little cameras they really deliver.
Easy to use and they don't fall off.
You do require a new set of batteries every track day but thats okay.
The only thing they need is a tear off system.
