Jeremy Clarkson will be featured on "Who Do You Think You Are"  on channel 9, 10 pm Tuesday. If you haven't seen this great series it's well worth a look. The idea is that celebrities trace their family tree back and uncover skeletons in the closet and some interesting family connections. It's been shown on SBS and BBC Knowledge for years and Channel 9 recently started showing the US series which typically doesn't hold a candle to the British and Aussie versions. Once you get into it, the show can be really addictive. Celebrities that are otherwise forgettable and/or annoying can often turn out to have fascinating family history, for instance, Jerry Springers story was especially interesting. Clarkos family story should be worth a look.

The Stigs unmasking was done on the nightly news months ago.

As for Junior v Senior.....that shit was OK back in 05 but they haven't built an original bike since. They seem stuck in the same format, using the same components....the only difference being the colour scheme and doo-dads. The rest is all soapy crap with a bullshit 'feud'. The ratings were on the slide so they were stuck for ways to pep it up......"I know" said the producers, "lets create a family feud between both Pauls, the punters will lap it up". Well, this punter hasn't. Life's too short to watch that shit. I reckon that the Biker Buildoff bikes are shitloads more innovative and different....each episode has different builders and therefore different philosophies on the craft without the bullshit feud. Same with Chip Foose's Overhaulin' as opposed to those tired old American Hot Rod Boys Coddington episodes. Foose builds very cool cars without the personality angst but at Boyds shop it's Angry Duane versus everyone. Does the prick ever do any work on the actual cars?

As for Jesse James......what a f*ckwit.

Yeah Paul Jr waxing about his unparalleled creative genius is a little hard to take ..... to mention all those clowns in the same sentence as Chip Foose whose drawings alone are amazing, Arlen Ness dynasty or any of the automotive artists out there just seems so wrong. F65K Paul Jr can hardly write his name in Crayon, just same old rigid frame with funny guards and tank shitter.

Heres a lesson in building bikes from Arlen

Sorry, but Russel Mitchel's bike are as minimalist and fugly as he is (his bikes seem to only appeal to him), that's why his bikes NEVER win.

I've got a bit of a soft spot for Russell Mitchells stuff. Sure it's mimimalist but he's got that combo between traditional bobber and high tech pretty right imho. On the other end of the scale I like Roland Sands quasi road racer/bobber/chopper/street tracker bikes. Nobody does it like Roland. Some of his bikes miss the plot but when he gets it right like the KRV5 tracker he's the king.

The KRV5 Tracker by Roland Sands took 9th place in the 2006 World Championship Of Custom Bike Building held at Sturgis this year. As we noted previously, this bike is powered by a Kenny Roberts V5 MotoGP engine. The front end is a modified GSXR1000 unit with Performance Machine wheels all around and the PM brakes, emulating the original board trackers, are at the rear only!

Nice looking and very interesting, but after building the very functional No Regrets and RSD Grunt, don't you think a 200hp V5 MotoGP engine would really go well in a more functional custom?
