tall but true story time..Rudge..speaking of which I have a great story that was told to me by my scottish engineer neighbor Elwyn Brequet when I was 3 or 4..he was the Chief Inspector of Engineering in QLD at the time. The man was a genius but it didn't dawn on me just how much of a genius until he became old and went senile and I was allowed to visually sift his workshop
It's about a man and an engine design and how many years after he'd designed this engine he was to hear it riding past a pub at Innisfail NQ. He ran outside to see what it was and there was his design nestled in a Rudge. He designed the motor and although he never saw production he knew exactly what it would sound like. Jeez I wished I'd spent more time with him but I was blessed with the time I had
