I reckon we have a fair chance of beating that result this year with the team of Reed, Byrne and Metcalf. A podium result would be awesome and long overdue.

I agree .As long as we dont have a disaster like in 07.In theory the Italians should have it but after that its open with all the other teams having on eweak rider - Aussie are complete and ready.

Very cool vid! Did anyone read the Ron Lechien story in an old Racer-X mag? They mentioned that race and how DeCoster was convinced they'd made a huge mistake in selecting him for the team, because he went up to Lechien's room to see why he didn't come down to dinner the night before the race. What he found was Lechien surrounded by a pile of empty beer bottles, he then went clubbing till the early hours of the morning, arrived at the track late..... then demolished the field as you can see.
Unbelievable!  :o

Great story that Racer-X one about Lechien. Got a lot of admiration for that guys talent and ability to get his life back on track after going off the rails.

I haven't seen the Lechien MX-Files show, Tried to find a torrent a while back after it aired, but no luck.

Yeah we're looking better than the US. Tedesco was nowhere at Unadilla.

True although have you seen the MXdN track? It aint no Unadilla.
Also either Dungey or Weimar must ride 450 - not really 450 riders .I guess Dungey will be the one . Do you know ?

i don't want to count any chickens till they're hatched but i'd really love to see the boys just get out there and have some fun.
Byrner especially.
the fact that Liesk, Bell and Dacks performance has stood for so long is a real testament to thier ability for sure. we were actually throwing this conversation around the campfire at the Nationals briefly.
can't wait... 8)

I thought the US team was Dungey, Short and Tedesco with Dungey on the 250?
