Pete didn't quite finish his new CR 500 in time for CD6 but it was worth the wait. He's done his usual magnificent job on the resto. This model Husky is tres'cool!

I can't wait to see his 50 kilo bod flapping 'round in the breeze behind the beastie. Another top job Pete, you make it an artform. Are there many of these in existence?

VERY nicely done! Still running the stock 44mm (!) Mikuni and four-speed box? Brilliant resto.

Heikki,
All standard ie 44mm carby, 4 speed gearbox, i changed the kickstarter to a later style to make it easier to start and put 83 wheels on it as the 82 nordisk rims are as soft as butter.
Magoo,
I know there are about 5 or 6 82.5 500 in OZ, i read somewhere that they only produced 200 worldwide as it was a prototype 500 motor in a 82 frame and developed for the 1983 season bikes, the power is by all reports brutal and was tamed down for the 83 model. I think you need your eyes and your scales checked i think i am a bit heavier than 50kgs :-\  i wish i still did weigh that ;D, i would still be flapping off the back no matter what i weighted ;D ;D ;D ;D

I believe that Petes bike is the very bike that Swedish works rider Leif Nicholson rode at the Amaroo Park International meeting in 1982. Hans Apelgren reckons Leif rode a 250 but I'm certain he rode a 500 (even more so after consultation with others who were there). Pete bought the bike from John Durst, the same guy that I got my Walkinshaw Jag  from and John is adament that the Husky was the 'works' bike ridden at that meeting. It'd be cool to positively identify it as that very bike.

Hey Pete if your 50kg is too woosy for the bike my 130kg might be more suitable to keeping the bugger on the ground ::)

Hey Pete, maybe we could add to your weight at the Narellan Pub on Thursday. Are you in?

At 46 years of age and of average riding abiliy I think I've missed my window of getting anywhere near a high output out of my SILVER BUILT, they are the quentsenual model mxer of the husky long travel models  and are highly sort after by people in the know!  note they will power wheel stand in any gear at any speed good luck Peter! Regards Jimbo
