I'm still leaning toward kawasaki early to mid 80's 175/250 for the forks as they run a 15mm axle and look near identical to RM N/T forks. Agreed with John the clamps are definately 'polished' RM125N/T as kawasaki used 2 pinch bolts in the top clamps for a start. Similar at a glance but not the same as what you have in the pic. Kawa's early to mid 80's kdx175 and kdx250's also run the 15mm axle albeit a hollow axle. They might have a 14mm axle nut but it's a 15mm axle ;)

yup, that's my guess ;) I'll double check the fork legs but the kawasaki stuff is soooooo similar it's a rip off. The tappered steering head bearing also..very kawasaki of the era ;) Maybe the forks are RM but the 15mm axle isn't unless it's been bored which makes me think someone put the front end together and assumed the forks were Suzuki. Maybe wrong but that's the impression that I get ;)

Those 38mm forks with 15mm axle look like 82-84 PE175 Forks to me but with non original wipers. The triples are suzuki for sure, most likely PE175 floater.

79/80 RM 125 has 12mm axle

I thought the PE175 only had a 12mm axle also like near all the other RM/PE/TS/TM's?

yes the ones with 36mm forks have 12mm axle.  Im talking about late model 175's ;) The 38mm forks on the full floater PE 175 82-83 definitely have 15mm axle and the forks are pretty much the same as the RM125 X i believe, but with a little less travel.
