What classes or used for Vinduro?
« on: April 15, 2009, 10:23:27 am »
Sorry for the silly question, but I am unclear about what bike to get to get into the Vinduro scene.

Is it just pre85?  Or are the classes split ilke VMX into pre 75, 78, 80, 85?  Or is it just a twinshock class?  Or does it just depend on who is running it?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks
Graham

i would like to know the same, i was at broadford and loved every bit of it! It just seemed like a great bunch of blokes there riding anything pre 85 and having a great time. Bring on 3 bridges, i want to know how to enter and details etc of the next one
Maico's, the only way to go.

No classes because nobody is running anything competitively (yet?) - really, the events we've had so far have been more trail-rides than enduros. Therefore, there's no need for classes.

Provided its an old bike, bring it and enjoy it.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Nathan's right. There are no actual classes as there's no racing. Pre 85 is just the cut-off that's being used. Any trail or enduro bike made before 1985 is fine.

There is no limitation however on how much fun you'll have at these events!
