Johnny O'Mara, at the Italian MXDN in 1986, beat Dave Thorpe for 2nd (Bailey won). Thorpe was riding a full spec RC500 and was the recently crowned world champion and O'Mara was riding an RC125. If you like to watch absolute perfection, watch a DVD called "The Dream Team" all about the American team in 1986, David Bailey (500), Rick Johnson (250) and O'Mara (125). All the US team was Team Honda and they put together as close to perfection you will ever see. It's funny to watch because during the 125/500 race the footage is mainly 500 action, but you can constantly hear in the background this screaming little 125 of O'Maras. Absolutely fantastic.
In NSW, most tracks we run are an advantage because of how tight and slow the tracks are, but in Vic and Qld, it's big bore territory.
Speaking of "big bores", where's that Squirtmoto character?

From many moons of playing with 2smokers from 125 Victa powered grassgrubs to fully sorted  GT750 with chambers  I have  learnt the only difference  is how many teeth they have and how hard they bite when they hi side you.

I dont have the kahunas to ride anything bigger than a 250 these days . I will ride them but wont push them cause hell Im 46 and those mongrels hurt when they throw you and they throw you hard . Perhaps ive grown some smarts and realise im only in it for the fun and i can do that on just about anything.

Wild Turkey & cola. Ok every now and then with the right pilot you can win on sewing machine , usually it's on a motocross track in ya backyard. I ask you to post a couple photo's just give the  B.B argument some levity.please DJ . The Big Bloke pulling a mono as he holeshots the field in style and the mighty 465 . And just check out the riders cool ,calm and on a knife's edge  just keeping the raging beast between ther legs under control .

Ok guys the Jagermiester is kicking in....... ;) ;D

125- Real Mens Bikes
When I was a young boy I thought like a boy and rode 125’s but when I became a man I put away my toys. And that’s what 125’s are TOYS. The reason why boys have to ride them WFO is because they cant go fast enough. Oh yeah, ya can get lucky on a tight little boys track where an open classer cant get out of 2nd gear but don’t they call that TRIALS riding? This is racing and racing means having enough power to never have to go looking for it. Ya know you’re on a piddler when the missus say ‘oh that’s a cute little bike, I could ride that’
No real men do not ride 125’s.

Real men ride and tame the Kings of Motocross…

Real men moved on to Real bikes, lets face it, if ya gonna have power, why have it in a little short burst and then run out, WHATS ALL THAT ABOUT.
Real men on 125’s HAHA, They wouldn’t even be able to start a real bike let alone ride one.
Real men don’t get intimidated by getting sideways, 4th gear wheelstands on a bike that has 40 horses to try and buck them off…No.
Real men have 4  times the CC’s of those motorised pushbikes but the same amount of  braking…….go figure that.
125 riders real men…., if they where real men they wouldn’t have brakes on those pissy little bikes.
6 speeds…..why not 10 speeds
Kids ride BMX bikes,  Teenagers ride 125’s and yes we all know who rides the real bikes

REAL MEN RIDE BIG BORE.
