im pretty sure you can still buy those old sort of Scott face mask. see your local shop who sells Scott or try ebay or i have even seen them at big shops like www.denniskirk.com They are just a plastic shield and havent changed much over the years.

also plenty of these Jofa/JT type face guards on ebay too

http://cgi.ebay.com/JT-Racing-Mouthguard-Vintage-1984-Old-Shool-White_W0QQitemZ290301585493QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCycling_Parts_Accessories?hash=item290301585493&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1171%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

you just gotta keep an eye on ebay because back in the last 2 weeks of January there were heaps of those Scott/JT face masks.

be carefull buying used goggles, quite often the foam will be rotted or deteriorated. My Oakley O-frames only had 1 season of racing and have just been used for general trail ridding and i use them when i test ride bikes at work but the foam has gone crap on them and they are only about 6 years old. also the elastic bands stretch. I have a old pair of Oakelys from the late 80's and the elastic is totally gone in them ( real loose) so unless you get nos ones or someone has had some that have been worn a couple times and then stored inside in a plastic bag all sealed up or something then i wouldnt risk wasting money on old used ones.

yeah i forgot to metion ive seen a few Answer mothe guards on ebay recently. Have you got an Open face helmet? i wouldnt mind doing teh same thing as you and have a vintage goggle/face mask set up and open face helmet, but where do you buy new open face helmets from that look oldish and not like a harley helmet? for same reasons as above i would not buy a used old open face helmet that i cant try on or dont know its history.

Smith still do those face masks

Most motorbike shops sell RXT brand helmets.  They have open face helmets, but in white or black only, I think.  I've been using one for a couple of years, nice and comfortable, plenty of room for my Jofa.

The modern 80 series Scott goggles still have the same holes that you can attach an old school Scott mask. That is how i have done mine. Ebay US is the place to look for a mask. They go for the $100US mark, especially NOS (i have paid$140) .

I'm pretty sure only the matt black doesn't have 3 studs for the peak, and 1 each side for a Jofa or visor = 5 studs - or don't I understand what you mean by 5 studs.
I get confused quite often.
