Well,I think it's an acceptable feature. You may contribute a post that could be considered excessively scathing, or unwarranted, that may have been submitted while you have a full head of steam, or may be pissed. So, if you feel remorseful an hour or two later, and feel you may have been harsh, you still have the facility to remove the post, and prevent further aggression or vitriol.
Recently I attacked hard on a post of Ji Gantor's that dumped on Luke 1961, gave him a spray, then later reneged my attack, and removed the post, so that peace could be maintained... so there's a case for it after all. The main thing is, and recently several members have overlooked it, it's really only a discussion, and there's no need for drama....
