G'day all. I'd especially like to thank every one here and wish them an outstanding festive season. It looks like my family and I are going to be having a very merry christmas thanks to the support and generosity of friends new and old. It is very humbling, but so much appreciated. We've got hope, a future and so many options -  learning from yesterday; living for today; and hoping for tomorrow. We are doing our best to personally reply to everyone who contacted us - I need some santa magic to get through the list before tonight. So if we have not got to you yet, thank you.

Have a merry & safe Christmas everyone.  I'll have my last one here in Mackay, but all the family is coming, so it is certain to be a good one - might even knock over a couple of bottles of rough red to celebrate.  Have a few drinks if you're so inclined, but make it a safe one & keep off the road.  We want you around next year!!

Great minds think alike Hoony.......I just this moment finished glazing my Ham (1/3 Orange Marmalade, 1/3 Maple Syrup, 1/3 Cointreau plus 2 heaped teaspoons of Dijon mustard) over a few soothing OP rum toddys. Earlier I made the turkey stuffing (1 cup crushed pistacio nuts, 1 cup bread crumbs, a bit of fresh coriander and 3 eggs and packed it into the sucker. We've got some boutique beers, great Chilean wines and the obligatory Margaritas ready to go. We've got 20 people tomorrow with prawns, lobster, oysters and ham for lunch and the trad Turkey/Pork/duck etc for dinner and some nice times in between.
We've got an Aboriginal family (6 littlies under 10!) from Wilcannia sharing Christmas with us and it'll be a delight seeing the kids get spoiled for probably the first time in their lives. We've gone a little overboard to make sure these kids have a Christmas they won't forget. I love Christmas.

Congratulations Billyjackjane.....the best present of them all.
