YZ 125F engine rebuilder
« on: October 11, 2025, 12:52:26 pm »
Hi all. Can anyone recommend an engine rebuilder for a 1979 yz125f. I'm in Ballarat, so preferably in Victoria.
Also the engine was pulled down a few years back and from memory I think the cases were not suitable for a rebuild. There have been at least two welded repairs carried out in the past that I can see, on both cases. The left case has had the crank bearing housing welded and machined. The right case also has a repair. I think the barrel, head and the rest are ok. I'm not sure if there is any way to reuse these cases or do I just bite the bullet and source replacements? I have photos but can't see where I can add them?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Sounds like an interesting job. STAN S is also a member on here . He would be your man and lives in Ballarat.
VMX shocks , We don't just sell them - I design and produce them individually for you since 1989.
