CLUB BULTACO AUSTRALIA RALLY 2007
« on: September 01, 2007, 03:55:00 pm »
Just a short note to let all Bultaco enthusiasts know that there will be a rally this year (2007), on 3-4 November at Braidwood, NSW, same place as before (~10km east of Braidwood on the Kings Highway to Canberra, turn north onto the Larbet Road (asphalt) and drive for ~7km, cross a small stream then follow the dirt road for another 2km until you come to "Riverdale" homestead then just follow the signs). This year it will be very low key - no trophies etc. and cost will be only $10 per head. Plenty of room to camp and the Shoalhaven River is flowing nicely 100 metres away so you can have a good tub after a days riding. There is a bush toilet. BYO everything. Montessa and Ossa enthusiasts are welcome. For further info 'phone John on (02)62916446. Please tell all your mates. Families with young riders welcome.
See ya there!

Oh, I don't know; I've heard of some strange rites and goings on. I'll probably be excommunicated or struck down by lightening - or worse.

Hey Mark, how about a photo of last years get together. Seeing as you're the defending Bultaco Drag race champion - thank god you got the crown back off Magoo! Can't let that happen again!

I cry when I look at those photos and remember how it once was. The memories of Sherpa and Chantel singing Royal Telephone at the Hillsong sponsored Campfire Singalong still brings me to my knees. The memories of Wing Commander Biggles mud wrestling young Callum and Aunty June giving Cocoa Fluffy cooking classes to an enthusiastic throng remind me of just how much fun can be had without alcohol. I can smell the billys boiling in my mind. It's a crying pity that the godless alcohol feinds got control of what was once a pure christian experience. Allowing Montesa owners in is the last straw in my opinion. Next they'll be allowing Labor voters. Disgraceful.

I have made it 'The Aim', to get the VB together for the Rally. It should be achievable but you know resto's - it doesn't take much to upset 'the plans of mice and men'  ::).

Doesn't it seem rather peculiar that here in Oz ... a pretty big country with a lot of dirt bikes ... we have only one dedicated single marque club in existence? Who has ever heard of a Club Maico, Club Suzuki, Yamaha etc,etc ... Those Bultaco fans must be pretty serious people indeed.

What blows me out is comments from bigots who have never been to a Club  Bultaco Rally etc and yet feel it is their duty to shoot their mouths off about 40 -50 guys brought together by a single brand enjoying company of other like minded individuals. They all like to have a beer or two whilst admiring the incredible and varied range of Senor Bultos legacy ... in original or restored condition AND ridden & enjoyed.

Funny thing, I can't ever remember any sing-alongs  or slagging-off of other outside groups.  Bulty folk are a pretty good lot ...

... oh so petty.

Why is it all so quiet about the Rally? What about sharing your Club Bultaco La Magazina editorial here EL Presidente?
I'm sure there are forum members who would love to read it.

You had to be there. So you'll never know.
Oh, hang on - you have to have a Bul, or Spanish flier to be in the 'in' crowd.
Was bloody good but!!!
And next year will be better!
