BULTACO SWAPS
« on: July 20, 2022, 08:37:32 PM »
Hi Everyone,

Having recently bought a collection of Bultacos, Sherpa T and Alpina mainly. There is other Bultaco parts from other models that came with the collection I will not use so I am offering for swaps for parts that I will use. My interest is Trials and I have a few Trials bikes complete and incomplete from Spain, Japan and Italy ???????? mainly 1970s to 1986 Post Classic era. So if you are interested in any thing (in the photos hopefully) , please reply or message me and offer me anything you have surplus to your needs? Any parts you have may help me get one of my bikes going and just for the record, I like to ride all of my bikes in competition.

These are I think (and I am no expert) Mark 10/11 Frontera or Pursang forks, please correct me if I am wrong? The chrome is in good condition and spins true in my lathe so not bent. They are how they came to me, I have NOT linished them!

I probably don't have much to suit your alpina/Sherpa. I do have an amal MK2 28 mm carby. I need to check what I have which may suit your " stable". I will report back tomorrow
Thumbs Up!

I have checked through parts I have which may suit

1 X Amal MK2 carby L2625 403 which is 25mm left hand 2 strike carby with 2 strike needle and 2.5 slide.
Condition is ok but slide should be replaced
Also 18" rear wheel off early model. Rim ok rest rough
Also bare late model 140mm wheelbarrow [tabl

Hi Everyone,

What is the rear wheel off Peter? My interests are any Trials bikes from Spain, Japan and Italy from 1970 to 1986. So that opens up a lot of possibilities and almost all of them use 18" aluminium rims.

After thinking for a while,  I am still unsure what a 140 mm wheelbarrow is?

As for Amal carbies, I am yet to find one that does not need a new slide. They are a bit beige me and there are far better options readily available,  here are some of the ones I have that I will not use:

Oops I meant 140mm diameter hub which will suit late model bultacos. The 18" rear wheel with the Akront mud catcher has a 46 teeth sprocket. I do not know which bultaco it came off. It is likely only worth the rim as I haven't opened the brake hub. It came with other bully parts from Qld which included a Frontera tank.

Hi Everyone,

Now I understand Peter, is your wheel like this one?

Just done a tally and I have 5 of them, 3 with mudcatcner, some with Stainless steel  spokes and 2 with later rim type so no thanks.
Here are some photos of a Bultaco steel tank, model you ask? Good question:

Hi Everyone,

Just to mix it up a bit, I am chasing a head for a M 213 350 Alpina like this one without the fins trimmed on the left:

Please let me know if you have one and/or a cylinder to match?

Thanks in advance
