If any body has, or knows of, an SC500 cylinder I'm chasing one.

Condition not important.

Please message me.

No cylinder but I do have a new Std piston sitting here, no rings though.

there was a wrecker of all things Yamaha some time back in Ashwood (Melb) area i think, possible last name Collins ( ?)  i really cannot remember.

i remember a mate telling me, the only problem was he was more hoarder than wrecker as did not like to part with stuff.

How different are the MX360 barrel castings to the SC, you may be able to do a custom sleeve job to get a usable cylinder. I've sleeved a DT1 barrel out to 80mm to make a 360. It's been about a year since I looked at an SC500 and from memory they are the same stroke as the 360 and the cases look very similar just much bigger bore. Piston height on the 500 is 3mm higher but a spacer could fix that.

One on Evil bay today

Thanks Bazza.

That one has resurfaced for another round; "bike smoked a lot".  He's been trying to flog it for a while.

I've made him a lowball offer: as it stands getting it here will be about 4 spot.

Edit. I now have a cylinder. Ta all.
