Actually, you didn't buy a KEIHIN PWK air striker for $67 delivered...........you bought a lump of cast alloy that looks like one.

I haven't had an experience with them,

I wonder if they can be saved and set up to take Genuine Jetting components Husky 85? as per Hoony's lead?
Think I will join the FB groups for CR500 riders.

Keen to hear your results John.

Damn...I got ripped orf..!
I paid 89 delivered, or there abouts. Swapped everything I could for genuine parts including top cap...but only because I had the parts to do so..I'm running it on a husky 390, stock rebuilt ignition and with the last two test rides it's as good as expecting has allowed..starts easy..Im not complaining yet.

I bought a 38mm PWK for $57 delivered, just to have a look at it. It's really, really hard to pick it from a genuine one. I'll be interested to try it on something to see how it goes.

Just spoke to a guy who has about 5 of these on various bikes. The only problem he's had has been a couple have had the pilot jet bleed hole blocked or too small. He now re-drills them as a matter of course & has had no problems since. Uses standard Keihin jets.

I've fitted a couple of smaller PWK's and found same deal with slow running and pilot passages. Also found that the seal of the jet block and the passage alignment might need a blueprint. These were OKO branded units.
If you love it, lube it.

Those will be the Chinese rip off Okos, saw a thread on how to pick them. Real Okos have Taiwanese flag on box is first clue, next is jets actually have markings
Have been running a real Oko for years on my Sherco & it's as good if not better than a Keihin PWK

The pilot & main jets are marked with the size but it is not stamped in, looks laser etched?

I've measured up the supplied unmarked needle, it corresponds with Keihin number CGM, or R1371N. The R1371N was a needle supplied stock in the '87 TRX250R and an option for '88 KX500 and '88 & '89 KX125 & 500.

Haven't determined the slide cutaway yet, can't find any information on how to correctly do that yet  :-)
