Water cooled head CR125 76/77
« on: July 21, 2017, 10:56:23 am »
Anyone got a water cooled head to suit a CR125 1976/77 or earlier would fit as well.
Have a classic road racer customer that thinks he needs to go with water cooling.

Does such a thing exist?  Mugen done a top end kit but it was still aircooled for the red frame M series 125's,Which is 76/77,  There was a Mugen watercooled kit for the later R series twin shocks I think :)

MT125R's from the mid to late 70's ( 1977/78) ran water cooled barrels and heads, the kick starter shaft area was the water pump housing was located, CR125M bottom, road racing pre NSR125

Google it, saw a clutch cover with water pump on evil bay once upon a time.

centre code 325 i believe

link to a bike for sale, with spare parts  http://automotoclassicsale.com/node/31619

try the  NZ and UK historic road racing seen.

They did exist, probably quite rare. Found this in Google, Shinobi branded.

For water pumps the road guy's use a little electric pump which seems to do the job as they only do short races.

There ya go, very interesting, sounds like the MTR top end mentioned above maybe easier to locate than the Shinobi  :)
