Suzuki PE or RM rear brake plate
« on: August 29, 2016, 09:25:51 pm »
Hi again

Need to pick a few brains , I notice over the week end while stripping it down the PE250 B i'm restoring   has a rear brake mod . The rear brake stay is fixed to the frame not the swinging arm and the brake hub is floating . It has a needle bearing  fitted to the brake plate  where the spindle passes through and a needle bearing where the brake stay is fitted to the brake plate . I've got a parts manual for a 77 B & micro fiches up to a  model T for reference . How ever none of show this type of plate plate . Can some out there enlighten me if its a RM fixture of the same era . I would post a pix if I could work how to post one.

Cheers for the help

It could be RM (start looking at the 78 parts lists) or maybe a DIY mod. No PE' has floating rear brake like that.
